Whatever happens to Bakura in YGOTAS, I know he’s specifically giving a whole few episodes of Bakura desperately inserting himself now and then so the fans of TAS have a bunch of missing timeline to mess with.

Personally I think it would be funny if Bakura, in the end, has to replay his whole “relationship” with Zorc and just cringing at himself for having to replay that part all over again.

My personal headcanon is just that, during Atem’s first life before anything else, Akhenaden was the one to tutor him on Pharonic duties and often showed him by example. While his father did his best to give him the lessons he could, it was clear he wasn’t present much in his upbringing (still enough to feel a connection, as he wasn’t old enough yet to be taught these things).

So while he had an idea of what his father did as Pharaoh, there was a lot of twisting of those values by Akhenaden’s teachings. Coupled by loss and the sudden burden of becoming Pharaoh the moment he was old enough, Atem had little time to process and ended up relying on his uncle more than he should.

Even if he had Mahad, I think he’d only really help with is he ever had to use the Puzzle. Akhenaden, being Akhenamkhanen’s brother and likely who was regent while Atem grew up, could easily have the role of directing Atem’s teachings.

I feel, with his thirst for power, he’d really lay on the guilt over his father’s death and the responsibility to make Atem feel like he’d NEED Akhenaden even after he became Pharaoh. I think it would be the same as training his son (Set), but with a undertone that maybe he can’t be as good as his father and isn’t, and this is how he can do better.

If Atem’s mother wasn’t around, likely he’d have no other family to lean on when grieving as well, giving Akhenaden yet MORE sway over Atem as he’d be present a lot during the days of mourning and grief.

In fact I firmly believe Atem had forgotten how to be compassionate until Yugi came along, and his actions during memory world show that much. When Yugi isn’t there to mediate or say if something’s off, Atem is...pretty much none the wiser.

Anyway one of these days I legit want to explore how Akhenaden getting Atem ready to take the throne affected his actions once TKB came up and how his guilt about his father’s legacy dictated how he ended up in the puzzle.

Favorite time of the year: Autumn, I love the colours and the temp, and of course Halloween~

Comfort foods: Hmm... basically anything fried fish or like...sushi lol. Though I’ll be real, anything to use with lemon/citrus, including sour candy~

Do you collect anything: I have a stash of rocks that are cool...at least two have some fossilized something-or-other, which I only don’t know because I never had it examined lol...oh, and ygo cards when I have the monies~

Favorite drink: COFFEE. I will never say no to coffee, and yesterday I found out even if it’s decaf :P (okay, unless it has hazelnut coffee creamer in it...or Folgers, fuck that shit >U)

Favorite music artists: Digital Daggers, Linkin Park, Amy Lee, The HU, Halestorm, Lady Gaga, Hypnogaja....these are off the top of my head and in no real order, but it can be hard to pick, these just stand out to me~

Current Favorite songs: Uhh...About You by Mike Shinoda...that whole album is like my key depressive rut album to listen to when I’m stuck in a depression loop;; I wanna mention a song from Lizzo but I no lie haven’t listened in some time and kinda forgot the titles;;

Favorite Fics: Oh my god, I have to choose? Uhh xD;;

A lot of Sita’s fics for sure, writerinpink’s tas fics are fun, ninjam’s mer fic of course, just have me loving mermaids/mermen all over again~ hmmm... I think...literally any fic/au @millenniumringg comes up with, I think I haven’t not been captivated by one and SAME WITH @saijspellhart. So many different flavours of puzzleshipping -u- AND @rochelle-echidna, love the different introspective fics that touch into the Ishtar’s upbringing and difficulties between that and modern life/relationships. One of those authors you patiently wait for more fics and are rewarded tenfold <3

sorry for the block of text, but it’s hard to summarize favourite fics when they generally come from the same authors xD;; Also a shoutout to Last Puzzle and the other puzzleship fic where Atem’s like a demon prince Yugi’s married off to, cuz the worldbuilding in that inspiring and just FANTASTIC, I just don’t know the name rn;;

I always tell myself I’m not that into thiefship and there’s more interest in other pairings... but in the end? If I need a good comfort fic, I browse old thiefship fics |3

Okay tag ramble wasn’t enough.

Isis (or Ishizu, we’re talking Ishtar here) only seems like she isn’t super motivated to do harm, but I think the power of the Necklace is something maybe more subtle than telling the future.

Isis completely believes in destiny and fates, as that was how she was likely raised...but what if the power of the Necklace is more than just telling the future? The Item’s are pretty powerful as they are, and maybe showing the future is pretty powerful in of itself, it’s a little...plain compared to the rest?

The Eye sort of does this, but rather than the future it shows a person’s thoughts. Perhaps this explains how Isis couldn’t predict Kaiba would sacrifice Obelisk, but what if it’s something more?

If Isis believes these futures with come to pass, what is she’s using the necklace to make them come to pass. Not just to SEE the future, but how to alter it?

It would explain why Priestess Isis might not be able to see a certain future, because it’s not JUST the future she’s looking for: She’s looking for a favourable solution to a future problem.

So in Isis’ (Ishizu’s) case, if she was so certain she’d win that duel, why didn’t she? Was it because the Necklace couldn’t actually see how she’d win the duel and acted confident despite this? Did Kaiba somehow have power over a Millennium Item? Were there too many variables in a card game that even the Necklace couldn’t show the all?

Or was her goal never to win the duel, but for a different outcome. An outcome where her brother comes away from a Shadow Duel alive? And that was what the Necklace instructed her to do to get that outcome?

With Halloween passed, I intend to try Nano this year.....no specific fic but parts of WIPs and new chapters to warm up to 50k in a month. I think I can do it, as long as I manage my time well;;

Works involved will include To Balance the Scales, Zombie AU I’ve worked on and off for two years now, Attempt to possibly complete the second arc of the Boundship AU, and the actual challenge within this: new chapter for Monster Reborn

If the challenge fails, I intend to potentially rewrite in second person as the style of writing between when first writing that and now is...drastic.
