As of now, this blog will be archived fully.

It seems impossible, considering the volume of backlog in my likes and drafts of posts I wanted to put here, that I'd ever get out of the "ongoing" stage.

And after some thinking, self reflection, and mental debate over if it should matter... I decided to take the old writing blog I wiped clean, and use that as my main. Of course, likes will still be attributed to this blog. AND so anyone else can use this username for like...an RP blog or something, I'll change my username accordingly.

This isn't a decision made out of rash, emotional outburst and paranoia, but simply exhaustion of the whole situation causing this and wanting to leave things behind. I'm sure there'll be a future fic or two that might restart this whole thing but at this point I don't care anymore. You choose to interact with me despite it (if you know) or not, that's wholly up to followers.

@sadistikitteh is still the blog. I'll use it to post writing AND support artists that want my support (aka reblogs/interaction basically) so if not block me plz k? <3

There sure are a lot of internet posts that amount to "thank God someone was abused, their abuser's tv show annoyed me. I'm so glad a real person got hurt so we can cancel this celebrity I found tiring. I was really hoping people I never met would turn out to have suffered in a way that would vindicate my media tastes"

I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: it’s more important to know and understand fully why something is harmful than it is to drop everything deemed problematic. It’s performative and does nothing. People wonder why nobody has critical thinking skills and this is part of it because no one knows how to simousltansly critique and consume media. You need to use discernment.

This is ultimately why propaganda is going to work on you. Because you never learned how to think for yourself and the actual ideology behind things. You simply rely on group think and the bare minimum explanations to tell you what’s good and bad.

You know, one of my most favorite yet underrated moments in early manga YGO is during that monster fighter chapter, after Yuugi lost to the cheating spider guy and got his fighter stolen.

Like, he comes in, having been punched in the stomach during the match and later punched again after losing, and finds his friends waiting in class. Obvs Jou and Honda are like “woah dude what happened to you?!?!” but instead of explaining or anything, he just looks up and gives Jounouchi The Look.

Like, just look at him. Look at that face. The shing and Jou's face. This boy knows he’s got a mou hitori no boku waiting for him, and he knows said mou hitori no boku can kick ass. And unlike before in Death-T, where he was afraid of him, Yuugi’s basically giving him the green light and a simple message: hello, please wreck that guy to hell and back for me. And yes, penalty games are allowed.

It’s just my absolute fav because it clearly shows that Yuugi isn’t as meek or soft-hearted as some might think of him as: he’s willing to fight for what he thinks is right, with whatever means are available. And of course, considering he’s got a way to fight for once, (Unlike ie Ushio, where he was physically too weak) then he’s gonna take it!

and well, come on. The idea of Yuugi just lookin Yami/Atem in the eye and going “You know what to do.” is hilarious. Baby Panda’s got a gun and he wants you to shoot it right between the hunter’s eyes.

(Also bonus reason why I love this chapter: manga-wise, we get to see the full bondage-outfit for the first time, in the most dramatic way possible. Case in point:)

YGO x Carrion AU! This is actually something I made like 2-ish weeks ago, but I got sick after n' never bothered posting it. Ah well, no time like the present. And what a fun one to be in too! Bc for once it's sweet lil yuug who's the monster ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿

I also tried writing a fic for this, but ugh it didn't pan out well so here's just my sorta description for what happens instead:

Yuugi was initially an evolved tubifex worm species (and irl species which little is known about) that allows for him to grow by feeding on living mass. Japanese scientists eventually found him, brought him to an underground lab in ol 1970s Domino City, and did extensive testing. Tho ofc something goes wrong and Yuugi ends up mutating, gaining not just sentience, but also pinkish-red nodes a taste for human flesh. He ends up decimating the entire place, gaining abilities along the way, before accidentally crashing against a subway train during his escape. As it turns out, said subway line was the only one operational in Domino, and was situated right next to the underground lab. Neat!

Ofc seeing as the gov knew about the project, they sealed off the subway in hopes of capturing the creature, but fail every time. Yuugi grows elusive and hides himself inside, leading to them eventually closing the subway line forever. New ones were then built, but none were made close to the first line. Then like most abandoned buildings, people started crafting stories and urban legends, the most popular being that the closing of that subway line was a cover up. Obviously, they don't know how right they were.

Time skip to years later, when Atemu moves to Domino. His father relocated him to stay there so he can finish his education in peace instead of move all-around due to his job, and so he stays with Sugoroku. Atemu however isn't fitting in so well, so some kids decide to try and scare him by making him stay overnight in the old subway. Obvs Atemu agrees, because there's no way something like that is real!

Though he might want to swallow his words later, since the creature's found him. And unlike his other prey, Yuugi finds him too interesting to let go…
