MORE LIFE - DRAKE AT LAST! First major Drake drop of 2017! 22 tracks. "More Life" is a continuation of music from Drake after "Views" last year. The rnb aspect and the rapper aspect don't blend as smoothly as it did on Views. It's almost like this album was rushed in some ways. Lots of filler tracks and some b roll sounding tracks. Just not a lot to say about it. The tracks that are good are damn good. It's an amazing project. The lyrics and the delivery is almost always on point. The album's weaknesses are also it's strengths, thematic in many ways. More Life. More features more styles more risks and creativity, the features and the instrumentals are definitely striking. The features are great, it's fun to see Young Thug grow into his sense of style and weird creativeness on his feature on "Sacrifices". Two Chainz is in top form as well on that track. The Bryson Tiller beat from "Don't" is almost as if Drake wanted us all to know he could do it better than Cole. No Long Talk" featuring Giggs has a U.K. grime rapper on it. The playlist had two U.K. Features and two different feels to it. First off it is interesting to see rappers appear on such mainstream record for America (and Canada). Furthermore, I feel that the U.K. Style of rap is still evolving to be able to reach and move American audiences, unused to the accents. "Can't Have Everything" is really nice continuation of the style we left behind in "The Motto". "Fake Love" we had already heard before, it's a great single one of the best tracks on the album. "Do Not Disturb" has one of the best beats on the album sublime and relaxed. 8/10 - JAY
