Talk to me about Legion. So it's a Shane/Andrew fanfic? Never considered the ship but I'll read it just to HAVE THAT FUCKING STORY, IT ALREADY SOUNDS AMAZING.
Legion is a whole ass novel, man xD. It’s going to have many relationships, like– in real life. And various arcs, too. But just in general:
The fic I talked about the other day is just a oneshot that is actually a prequel for the main fic, which is called The Last Starfighter. It’s going to be a multichapter fic with three arcs.
It’s gonna have a few oneshots and so to tell the past, and some tie-ins for other characters and so.
People will die. But it’s gonna have… a happy ending. For most.
I mean, I have only write a little but I know for sure how things are gonna go and end.
This is a shyan story, with a lot of side pairings and past pairings that will have their own moments.
More under the cut.
~ Arcs ~
Arc 1: Ryan, an Earthean, has always wanted to be a Starfighter, so when he gets in the academy but ends up selected as a Navigator, he kind of loses his faith in the Legion only to discover there’s something “wrong” with him that doesn’t allow him to become a Fighter. Turns out, it’s not actually a bad thing but a very especial shit not everyone gets: he has 48.7% Fighter abilities and 51.3% for Navi, that is considered being able for both positions (you need a 45% to be one, most people 60-something for one and the rest for the other). The only person who is like him is weird as fuck martian he hates aka Shane, who has a 45% Navi and 55% Fighter, but he has more experience than him and has been both things for different pilots. The first one was Sara for who he was her Navigator. The arc is to show the world, the Legion, the political ambient, what they do, and to develop their firnedship. Shane and Andrew are no longer together in this, but they are very protective of each other. Andrew is a Navigator for Adam.
Arc 2: The war continues, and the growing relationship between Shane and Ryen becomes stronger. They share part of their past and become good friends, and when Ryan ends his relationship with Helen, Shane is there for him. Maybe a little bit too much. During an attack, they become heroes to their fellow pilots and officers, and gain certain kind of fame when they save and win the battle thanks to Ryan’s excellent plan of attack and his trust on Shane. All this gives Shane hopes Ryan may feel something beyond friendships and companionship for him, but he gets gently rejected when another attack occurs and, this time, no one has it easy. In a desperate attempt at protecting Ryan and destroying the last fighter of the enemy, Shane drops Ryan from their ship and sacrifice himself. He’s declared dead in action once the battle is won.
Arc 3: Tired but not done just yet, Ryan refuses to fight again and becomes an instructor, going up rank to rank for three years since Shane died. The war seems to have no end, Earth is every day worse and the colonies in Mars have revelead against their masters long ago and won, but the fights between factions have destroyed most chances to rebuild and prosper, yet it’s still a better place for it than Earth. When the war becomes worse, Ryan is made to fight and finds himself with an enemy that almost kills him but ultimately lets him go when a red light goes on in their neck. Bitch’s a killing machine and it’s the reason Ryan becomes direct part of the fight again when he’s told the dude’s ship was the one that destroyed Shane’s. He has had three terrible years to realize he made a mistake, and while he can’t do nothing to change things, he can at least fight for him. And he will fight.
Tired, over stressed and lonely, Brooke ends up on bed with the father of her daughter. Again. Knowing she's not dating anyone any time soon, she proposes to him a little arrangement: they can be each other's butty call when the needs hit, no compromises, no jealousy, no fights, good sex.
Happily, Kelso accepts knowing this the closer he will get to Brooke, for whom he has been pinning ever since moving to Chicago and re-connecting with her. But when Brooke gets incredible jelous of the date Hyde and Jackie set him up with, he knows maybe not all hope is lost between them.
To be fair all your fic ideas sound already cool. But I want to read Gravitation so bad... You have been telling us about it for a year. It needs to be DONE, Nini!
IT’S GONNA BE DONE, BETH. God, I love that fanfic so much and I’m so scared to post it....... Like, what if nobody likes it? What am I gonna do if it’s yet another flop? I just love that story way too much, man.
You are the only one who asked for something that wasn’t HJ, so you won not only the AU but the edit too. Also, good choice!
I’m doing this in canon because it’s a good idea, hear me up:
Having to take care of Betsy, working and attending college is not easy for Brooke.
She barely has time for herself, let alone go out. Her only constant company besides her friends at work and school, is Michael. The father of her daughter who also has been trying to woo her since he moved to Chicago.
It happens that one night he is the only one around and Betsy’s asleep, and she is just so damn horney tonight… He actually tells her they could go together to a bar as friends, see if they can get some, and really, that’s so damn sweet coming from him… One thing leans to another, and they end up looking at the seilling together with a lot of questions on their minds after sex.
Brooke leaves it clear in that moment: this is NOT a relationship, it’s a one time thing.
After listening to her, Kelso then tells her maybe they could have this while there isn’t anyone in (her) their lives but their daughter. That they can have ‘friendly’ sex, no strings attached, no other rules but no fights, no jealousy, no commintment beyond their daughter.
She may be crazy, but stress is also killing her, and this is Michael, she knows him, she knows it will be fine for him once it’s over, so she says yes.
What she doesn’t know is that Kelso has been carrying feelings for her since before he went to live near she and Betsy in Chicago.
He sees this as a chance to prove himself, so he works his ass off to stay monogamous and loyal, cute and romantic for her during this new time together. Having the common work of taking care of Betsy is just an extra he is so gonna take.
The risk is high, but this is the closer she has let him be of her since he moved, so he will take it.
As the months go by, she starts noticing this is basically a relationship and when she tries to end it, the heartbroken expression on Michael’s face almost makes her stay with him but she is firm in her decision… Until Hyde and Jackie sets him up with some girl working on Jackie’s channel.
She can’t keep herself straight, she is a mess as she knows Michael is on a date with said girl, she is jealous and she knows it.
In the middle of the night, she calls him.
Kelso answers a little surprised she is calling, he makes her think he took his date home to make her jealous, but when she appears at his door saying she left Betsy with Jackie and Hyde, he is surprised again by her.
“I don’t want you dating anyone else, ever” and finally, finally, this is truly happening.
Now is his work to not screw it up. Again.
PD: Ah yes, Jackie did move to Chicago but instead of breaking up with Hyde or having ultimatums and stupid crap with Kelso, he decided to move with her. See, this is the good thing about being the actual owner of Grooves, he can expand his dad’s empire and be with his chick, you know?
Surprise, beautiful person! Once you get this you must put it into at least 8 people's asks who deserve it. If you break the chain, nothing bad will happen, but it's nice to know that someone thinks you're beautiful inside and out
