After those beams of light were shot down, Kazumi was made plenty busy. The beings that exited those beams were very hostile and each one she ran into would attack her immediately. Thankfully she mostly ran into minions so far so they didn’t take much effort to fight off or run away from with her powers returned. It was easy to fight the more monstrous ones, but the human looking ones were difficult for her to stomach fighting if it could be avoided. She hadn’t ran into anything that was obviously from her world quite yet. At least her ahoge wasn’t reacting to any witch’s magic yet.

During a moment of calm, when there didn’t seem to be any minions or bad guys nearby, she noticed a familiar face. It was Hibiki, a fellow magical girl! Kazumi quickly rushed to her side. Joyful to see a friend, but completely unaware that she was being watched from a distance.

“Hibiki-san! You’re alright! That great!”

Initially Kazumi was planning to find those wires to help solve this problem, following her phone to try to find one of the holes leading to them. Then she got hungry and that entire plan fell apart. She found herself wondering Cotes Ward in a daze as her hunger consumed every thought. The thing that managed to bring her back to her senses was the massive shaking of the ground as an earthquake occurred. Now she could take in her surroundings and see many people hiding under cover as some debris fell from buildings during the quake.

There seemed to be one person buried under some rubble , their arm waving between the pieces of the building indicating they were at least still alive. That was good! And there seemed to be someone with a red dress and pink hair already attempting to help the person. So it seemed like the situation was under control, until that is, another quake happened. While it was not as massive as the previous one, it was enough to knock one more piece of rubble down from the building and cause it to fall towards the girl and the buried civilian.

Without any hesitation, Kazumi transformed into her magical girl attire and leapt into action. Quickly making it to the scene and hitting the debris with her wooden staff. The impact caused the cross of her staff to break off, leaving her with nothing but a short splintered stick, but she was able to knock it away from the other two. So it was a good sacrifice.

“Whew, that was close.”

Her eyes stared at the message on her phone before shifting to look at her surroundings, seemingly bustling city. Everything was unfamiliar to her, although the message told her not to worry about where she was, she really did. She kinda was, as she couldn’t remember anything. Outside was perhaps the worst location for this thing to happen.
