Tycho - Weather ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ @tychomusic @nitemoves @heysaintsinner @momandpopmusic @ninjatune #ninjatune #momandpopmusic #saintsinner #nitemoves #tycho #tychomusic #iso50 #ambient ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I'm very excited to write about this album because I've been such a fan of everything Tycho has put out over the past decade. Their earlier works like Past is Prologue introduced us to Scott Hansen's love of analog synths and gave nods to musicians like the Boards of Canada in form, but also carved a really unique niche for him as he did the impossible: he made music that legitimately cannot be compared to anyone else directly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Dive, Awake, and Epoch are where most of you likely jumped on board the Tycho train and if those albums sound similar to you, it's because they're actually a thematic trilogy of albums and during their recording and performance, the band grew to what it is now, a supremely tight group of live musicians who now help write and perform alongside Scott. What was once a solo passion project turned into something much, much larger and it's hard to imagine an amazing summer festival lineup without Tycho somewhere near the top of the bill. Weather is the first album featuring vocals and it really gives their sound a rich new dimension. Saint Sinner was featured on most of the tracks on this album and her voice fits so perfectly in the mix that you can imagine it having always been part of their lineup. The songs on this album are also much more streamlined and straightforward than previous albums but in a really great way. For anyone who couldn't quite get into the purely instrumental magic of earlier Tycho will likely feel right at home now that there is a beautiful voice telling a story over their flawless instrumentation, too. My better half is in love with this one and I think you will be too. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ https://merch.ambientinks.com/collections/tychoiso50/weather ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #vinylrecords #vinylcollectionpost #records #nowplaying #recordcollector #vinyladdict #vinyljunkie #onmyturntable #nowspinning #nowplaying #vinyligclub #vinyllovers #vinylclub #vinylrecords #vinylcollectionpost #vinylcollective #vinylexams #vinyl #vinylporn #vinylcollector (at Seattle, Washington) https://www.instagram.com/p/B1jKpmZp6ge/?igshid=9mmsw1246tz0

We had to beckon our hearts to be still when we caught wind of Tycho’s new song. I’m sure you agree that it’s kind of a big deal when the GRAMMY-nominated San Francisco-based musician unveils new music. Scott Hansen’s past albums, like Epoch and Awake, are some of the most critically acclaimed electronic albums of the decade, and they’ve been our soundtrack throughout the years. We listen to them, whether at home whilst in a pensive mood, or out in the wilderness where everything seems that much more splendorous and wondrous to the tune of Tycho, especially those profound sunsets and sunrises, which have become frequent Tycho motifs, both in clubs and at Burning Man. Today, Tycho blesses us with Jetty, his contribution to ‘Ninjawerks Volume 1′, a groundbreaking album from Astralwerks and famed gamer Ninja. Tycho said: "I've always been inspired by video games and the alternate reality they offer, this is something I try to achieve in my music: to transport the listener to another space. I'm excited to connect my music with an art form that I enjoy so much." That’s one of the reasons we love Tycho’s music. It’s other worldly ambiance transports us far from the mundane, but at the same time, it seems to lift off a veil from what’s around us too, exposing fine intricacies and eye-widening beauty that we tend to neglect. Jetty jettisons us into this world of Tycho, filling us with a youthful sense of wonder, urging us to slow down and take everything in. Our worries seem but trivial matters all of a sudden as we float through the night sky to Tycho’s post-rock imbued ambient electronica. Alongside Jetty, Astralwerks and Ninja also revealed two other songs from their Ninjawerks Volume 1 release, including Alesso’s Tilted Towers and 3LAU’s Game TIme, featuring vocals by Ninja himself. Recently, Astralwerks Records announced their groundbreaking partnership with Ninja, the world's biggest gamer. In a first for the music and gaming worlds, Astralwerks and Tyler "Ninja" Blevins have joined forces on a revolutionary new project, Ninjawerks - an original soundtrack featuring music from top electronic artists around the globe. Set for release on December 14, Ninjawerks Volume 1 will be available in digital, CD and vinyl formats.Kaskade and Nero are among the other acclaimed electronic artists who are contributing original songs to the soundtrack. Look for more songs and artists to be revealed soon. Ninja will celebrate the release of the album's first three tracks at the official Ninjawerks launch party, which will be held on Sunday, December 2, at Capitol Records in Hollywood. He will stream live from the event accompanied by DJ sets from several of the artists on Volume 1. Streaming/downloading options for celestial Jetty can be found, here.
