Realized I have Isoldan art I never posted! My bladesinger wizard, look at he :)
A Friendly Duel Another Isoldan art! This was from a scene where he sparred with Feather, another of our party members. It came out more dreamlike than I intended but I liked the colors too much to change them.
A little hair-down Isoldan sketch for old times sake. He's the prettiest man alive to me
Discord emotes for my friend's dnd game :> Might add emote sets to my commissions if there's interest!
How could I forget to post my new bladesinger wizard... Ladies and gentlefolk: Isoldan Talavera! Former opera singer turned wandering duelist 🎵
tiny little rapier users from dnd :) (two pcs and their npc rivals)
19. What is your favorite fact about your OC?
The real question is which OC...I have a lot. I'll go with my newest dnd boy, Isoldan, because I just posted his design. Isoldan is very sentimental, so he's got a box of trinkets full of random little mementos from friends and experiences he's had. Things like old sheet music from his dad, part of a costume piece from a favorite opera production he was in, an empty makeup compact from when one of his best friends first taught him how to use it. There's also a fascinatingly critical anonymous letter he received once that he almost threw out, but ended up because upon a second reading he started wondering why the sender seems to care so much. He's yet to find out who sent it. But I know :> I actually wrote an entire mini story about the meaning behind the things he has in there, which you can find here...I'm really happy with how it turned out!
1 and 18 about Isoldan if ya haven’t answered already!!
Thank you for asking about my lovely opera boy :> 1. What was the first element of your OC that you remember considering (name, appearance, backstory, etc.)? The first things I decided about Isoldan were that I really wanted to play a bladesinger wizard and that he would be the polar opposite of my other current DnD character, Leonore. So, since Leonore is an intimidating engineer lady who doesn't have time for your feelings, Isoldan is very empathetic and a huge theater kid. He's really earnest and kind and sincere, but he's easy to fool and he knows it. Being burned hasn't ever stopped him from giving people the benefit of the doubt. Bonus Fun Fact: The second thing I decided was that he was formerly an opera performer, and this was entirely because I had been reading up on the history of opera for a FE3H opera AU / doppelganger fic that I never finished (though I hope I do someday).
18. What is the most recent thing you’ve discovered about your OC?
After rp-ing him in our text campaign for a while, I realized that Isoldan spent much of his early life as a complete open book emotionally, but had to learn to hide it to get better at acting and dueling and interacting with the nobility who would come to the opera. He's still not very good at it unless he's consciously trying in those particular settings. He may be a good a stage actor, but that's more about amplifying/redirecting his emotions into a specific role rather than trying to suppress them. Isoldan can't ever be anyone other than himself.
