Azu Tiwaline invite Karim / Tikita Records - Rinse France, 07 March 2021
The dance of the tribes kind of thing.
Tikita comes from Morocco and is based in Marrakesh. Last year (i.e. 2019, as 2020 never existed) they collaborated with Isotoop and Inverted Audio to bring in life Under the desert stars, a festival at Agafay Desert.

Some moments from Under the Desert Stars, captured in a short film by Rebecca Salvadori.
Right in the middle of nowhere, stars in multitudes above and music around, the kind of music that travels you to other directions and other dimensions. Isotoop, in collaboration with Tikita, managed to create a beautiful experience for those who attended, and footage for those who did not. These moments will stay in the records.
Under the Desert Stars was a once-off electronic music festival which took place in the Moroccan desert on 27-28 September 2019. Inverted Audio’s review is an in-depth following of the journey, worth every single word.
Summing it up with a few quotes,
“When the time is right and the music is fitting into the context everything becomes one”
“The sound is pure and whole — understandably, as there are no sound restrictions in such isolation. The desert is your only neighbor, and it does not mind the noise.”
“music transported us wherever our minds wished to take us”
And,
"Although Under The Desert Stars will never again return in the same form, the restless eye of ISOTOOP remains searching for the next festival location"
So let’s wait to see what’s next.
Listen:
Karim x Malik @ Under the Desert Stars
Tikita’s Karim and Malik open [day 2] with mystic rolling techno that resembles the sound propounded by the rest of the European-based lineup, but is markedly unique — perhaps as a result of their separation from the continent.
Neel’s hybrid live at “Under the Desert Stars”
Keeping well below 100bpm, the Italian maestro shows all in attendance that true energy doesn’t come from speed, but from the chemistry of the component parts of music.
Music in the video is taken from:
Neel live at Under The Desert Stars Lapien – Moonset [Tikita] Amandra – Quatre Heroica [Tikita] Lapien – Moonset (natural/electronic.system. remix) [Tikita] Ario DJ set at Under The Desert Stars Marco Shuttle – Thebe [Spazio Disponible] Amandra – Autochtone [Tikita] natural.electronic/system. – Sicut Erat [Tikita]
