           He   was   upset,   his   face made it clear, and was quick to defend. ‘‘ That’s not true !! ’’ Is it not though ?? Become strong to become a hunter, punch Hisoka in the face, help Kurapika and beat Greed Island to meet a father who didn’t even want to see you after completion. Even the worse parts all circled around becoming strong enough to meet a figure that people have praised constantly. All this hard work, all the sacrifices, all of this was just to get a tiny bit of love that his own father gave to others, but not his only son. It ached inside Gon’s heart, for he craved it. Even if it was just a hug or a simple praise for his work, it’d all be worth it. His upset face turned more somber, as he’d stare to look at his hands. They were once soft, like the grass now they are rugged and hold many scars like the mountains.            The more Gon actually breathed and thought about it, the more it became sink in that it might actually be true. Now he can’t deny it, and it’d be right for Gon just to accept the truth. Even if it hurt, it was something that was too blindingly obvious. Even if the dark path of increasing ones own personal limits, he had a light, well many lights. Just the thought of them, changed his sad look into a more joyous one.

           ‘‘ Hehe, maybe you have a point Zenitsu, but that’s not all I value about myself. I’m happy with myself because I made a lot of great friends, like you in my hunt to become strong. If I just stayed on the Island with Aunt Mito, then I’m pretty sure I’d feel more lonely. I was alone with no friends, so leaving and coming back with one that is best thing I’m proud with myself. ’’
