Anyway...
It seems that Isshin and Masaki are both changing each other's worlds, bringing a new perspective to what it means to be a shinigami and a Quincy. They weren't supposed to meet, weren't supposed to be friends, aren't supposed to fall in love. And yet, here they are sacrificing themselves to protect each other no matter the cost and they've just met.
What did Aizen mean by
A hollow created from a dead shinigami...actually chose a Quincy, a being opposite to it.

It seems that his words are implying that this hollow was based specifically off of a dead shinigami (maybe Kaien?) and infected/is laying dormant inside Masaki. I suggest Kaien even though I don't think it is, because, while Ichigo and Kaien are cousins, having a hollow presence that was based off of Kaien residing in Ichigo could explain a few other similarities.
I don't think it was mentioned before, but it seems that Masaki and Ryuuken are indeed related as they were referred to as "cousins." I know it's only been a couple weeks, but I remember there being a debate about whether or not they were related...So I guess this makes Ichigo and Uryu second cousins? Kinda funny/ironic if you ask me, considering their relationship.
I just really hope that Ichigo is able to go to the respective sides of his extended family after this flashback (and maybe after the War). He's got a bigger family than he knows.
I'm really starting to think that Katagiri is Uryu's mom...
