Me reading the (potential) new chapter of boyish 0.0000001 seconds after it’s published:
YES IT'S A NEW CHAPTER OF BOYISH!!! and i am mostly editing but editing also means Inserting More Bullshit Scenes which means uhm. yeah idk what it means writing this fic is just always a lot and i wrote a lot of scenes this week THAT AREN'T EVEN IN THIS CHAPTER but we'll get there. thank you for the encouragement i will prevail <3
Date day’s been going well.
Duke Valefar, a being who's constantly able to maintain absolute complete composure while the great love of his life is off fighting gods, does not strike me as a person who loves him half as deeply as you.
A being who doesn't experience conflict, grief, doubt, and worry, to the point that it reveals itself now and then, as his court faces war, loss, and starvation, is one who doesn't see them as people, but resources. It's not strength to show no sign of uncertainty or desperation, it's lack of loyalty, and lack of compassion.
The fact that you have maintained as much composure as you have is impressive. But being perfectly honest? If you were someone who didn't grieve the losses, fear for his husband, and worry for his court, as well as his ability to serve them, you would not be you, and I don't think you would be someone I respect half as much as I do.
That...
You are correct in that. Once again, you are correct.
My sincerest apologies. I am usually so much more composed than this.
-Duke Valefar.
