Only seconds until Ayo's fans find Kaia's brother's acc and see his stories….
when it's strictly stuff about the hostages and not him reposting radical bigots advocating to "turn gaza into a parking lot" (something actual people are saying as a rallying cry in the more extreme circles) i think people who would try to blow that up need to focus on the people who *are* saying actual horrific shit like that.
the hostages should be, /need/ to be home. what happened to the 6 that were murdered is horrifying and i pray it doesn't happen to any more of them. i take a more pacifist and non-intervention view of war as a whole personally (but lord have mercy not so much so that i'm anti churchhill like the holocaust deniers. saw bits and pieces of the latest tucker carlson drama today and was flabbergasted). i think eye for an eye violence in any sense solves zilch nada nothing. i did model arab leauge (think mock trial for foreign policy nerds) for all 4 years of undergrad and represented palestine at multiple conferences and learned so much. (this isn't me trying to say i'm an expert by any means lol, just trying to emphasize that i studied the area and surrounding politics for years before last october)
but any hostage taking by any side during war times is awful and unjustified. and i think focusing in on people keeping the hostage's faces in the public eye, as opposed to people advocating for violence/the demolishing of the gaza strip, misplaces folks desire to be helpful to the larger cause. the actual violence pushing war mongers are causing a whole lot more racism and unrest than people who are primarily focusing on the hostages.
