something i wrote for ela (WARNING IT KIND OF SUCKS😿😿)
I have thoughts in my head, stored
They have no way out.
I want to let them free, to explore
But they stay without a doubt
I could be creative, and then I’d be adored
But what is an artist if the artist is bored?
Words are supposed to come naturally
But mine always sound forced
These thoughts stored in my head can’t get out
They can’t run to the paper, or onto the note
They stay in my head like they’re surrounded by a moat
And the gate won’t come down to give them a pathway out
The ideas are stuck, like they’re in a cage
They’re locked in there, so they can’t get on the page.
The pen in my hand stays frozen, and so does the brush.
I guess they aren’t in a rush
