The thing about Dan repeatedly bringing up how gross hotel bedding is while watching heated rivalry is that if he could somehow communicate that information through the screen Shane would share his priorities. He'd make Ilya stand there and wait while he neatly folds the bed runner and sets it aside and then stacks the decorative cushions on top of it and then goes and washes his hands before they can go anywhere near the bed. And Ilya would watch him do all that and call him boring to cover for the fact that he's more turned on than he's ever been in his entire life.

I have so many genuinely rude things to say I can't even BEGIN to explain how fucking tone deaf it is, but it's also annoying because. it's so easy. it is So fucking easy to use this opportunity. As a game targeted towards kids. To show how it is not only Normal to live in Alex's conditions but that it also is not a failure. That it is not embarrassing. That it's okay to be working class, economically struggling, that 9 to 5s being horrendous is a legitimate issue and not just something quirky to complain about on snapchat.
