River: We can do this the hard way, or the easy way, dragon. You tell me where you came from, I will send you back.
The dragon looked at him, once again trying to back away, only to hit the back of the building once more, sending it into the same movement pattern as earlier. River inched closer, deciding that he needed to subdue this dragon before he decided what to do with it. He charged up the spell when his eyes met the dragons.
He remembered the eyes of Emil from that day, he also remembered the eyes of his husband during a panic attack, and of the two, these were the latter. He was dealing with a dragon, who was having a panic attack. He only saw panic, fear, and sadness there in the dragon's eyes, no anger or mal intention that he could see. Sighing to himself and telling himself he was being a fool once more, he stopped the spell he had started and instead he triggered his calming spell.
River: Calm down, I’m here to help, not hurt.
He would prefer that. If he could just calm it down enough, perhaps it could tell him where they came from, and they could be sent back home. Perhaps they were simply lost, a failed teleportation, much like the random happening that had sent Vy their way.
