Sorry about not getting the Hunger Pangs giveaway winners announced yet. My mother texted me yesterday to let me know a close family friend died, and it's thrown me a bit off-kilter.
I'm sorting through everything now. Thanks for being patient.
I don't know if this is relatable but mood
HAD TO WATCH GIO LOSE ON THE BIG SCREEN
Particularly in how she interacts with Dark Yuugi. Her "role" is almost a mirror to the expected audience reaction to Dark Yuugi as a character. From "ooooh look how cool! The cooler Yuugi!" (I certainly knew many kids when I was young who had a crush on the """cooler Yuugi""") to actually knowing and caring about him and Yuugi as their own seperate people and knowing both of their hearts so deeply and intimately that they both bring you to tears
i know you'll only be posting reverse wasteland on feb 14th but can i please get a snippety snippet until then? 🥺🥺🙏 just to warm my heart w something
I’m just going to give up on saying you e already read ALL OF THIS (and not point out that you still have access to it). Here. Have your warm and fuzzies that aren’t warm or fuzzy at all.

James never leaves him alone with it, not once.
Sirius rages, spits foul words, terrible threats and accusations, but James stays each time. He cleans up the sweat and the vomit, changes sheets and clothing, wipes down his skin. He bundles Sirius up in layers of warmed blankets when he shakes so badly James is scared his bones will vibrate from under his muscles and flesh. Holding him through the nightmares, locking Sirius' arms at his sides as he tries to flail, James murmurs soothing words, face pressing into his wet hair, sending up silent prayers to whatever may be listening to have his brother back as he once was.
James stays, works him through it each time, monitors his pressures, watches for threatening fevers, keeps a close eye out for seizures as his friend detoxes. Sirius moans in agony, the weakness of his body causing James to feel weaker in turn, aching along with him, for him, but he remains firm.
Because this is the last time. They'll never be here again, not after the overdose, after Sirius once more slipping back into it when James had relaxed and turned his back, given that trust to the other so graciously. They won't be here ever again, not even if it comes down to James locking Sirius up for his own safety.
James refuses to lose him.
Kimi: I've got an amazing memory, name one thing I forgot
Nikita: You forgot me in the parking lot last week
Kimi: I didn't forget you, I left you there on purpose
