Day 11 Merlin Elliott did a great job with this character. When he first came on screen, I was thinking the same thing as (pre-dark one) Nimue and David.. wondering why he wasn’t an old guy - which is what I was expecting. And be has some of the best lines.

Why don't you like Macklemore?

he used the queer community as a fucking stepladder to fame

society holds him up as a queer icon because the vague passive messages he touches upon about the lgbtq community are being delivered to them in a friendly little box by a straight white cis male, god forbid an actual queer person or a poc actually make music about those subjects. oh wait, they do, they have been doing so for fucking years, and their music is actually about the struggle to be validated as an actual human being with rights as an lgbtq person, and none of them are ever recognized for it by our society, but macklemore is rolling in money because he wrote one song about being a straight ally

i would like to assert that macklemore does not represent my voice as a queer person and he never fucking will
