There's something off about your new neighbour.

Maybe it's the way you've always heeded your grandmother's warnings about 'people' who move in to vacant houses during twilight, or maybe it's the way you notice iridescent eyes following you from the top window of the house. Either way, you know something not natural is going on.

Ever since you were a little girl, you've always been able to sense omens whenever they appear, be it good or bad. Needless to say it freaked your mother out a few times, especially when you predicted the devastation that one storm would cause the town.

Your grandmother, on the other hand, alway encouraged your 'ramblings', as your mother would call them. She was the one to tell you that sprites were the cause of that catastrophic storm, and you believed her. Besides, you always knew your old math teacher was a werewolf.

Now though, as much as you try, you cannot get a good read on your neighbour. Sure, you've introduced yourself to him when he first moved in, but even then it was hard to get a gage on him.

So far, you're torn between a lycan or a shifter.

However, having him stand protectively in front of you now, you realize you couldn't have been more wrong. Not only did he just save your life from something in the forest, but he did it without batting an eye, or moving for that matter.

As he turns around to help you off the ground, the smile he sends you isn't all that reassuring.

My sister found a worm in her food and at first I was like

I tried to find the exact kind of worm this guy was but couldn't unfortunately. This worm seemed to have antennaes so it could not even be a worm and instead a larva of a beetle or something, maybe even a baby centipede or a millipede
