The Ghost of Me.
Here's another poem I wrote in '10 too. This one I wrote pretty fast, but I kind of like it.
The Ghost of Me
Shoot ahead, the boy cried. The ghost of a boy that followed me. Always there to watch over me. And as my two legs began to strike fire to the sidewalk, I was there no longer. Suddenly in his arms, I screamed out. His ghostly form, neither flesh nor bones, was beyond the point of cold. And as he embraced, he begin to weep. He longed for the body he once knew.
The skin.
The flesh.
The bones.
And as I embraced him, I begin to shudder. My heart yearned for something more than this world. The unknown. And as we embraced, we became one.
My skin.
My flesh.
My bones
No longer was just mine, but his as well. The knowledge of the unknown soon was engraved in my very being. Lead ahead, the boy said. Eager to roam the vast strange world. The ghost of a boy who became apart of me. Always there to watch over me. The ghost inside, He is I.
Solar Flare.
Someone asked to read some of my poetry. Cool. Here's one I wrote in '10 called Solar Flare based off of a dream I had of the sun's solar flare's hitting the earth. It's pretty long. It was a breathtaking dream, the sun was very huge and bright shining on my face. I smiled throughout the dream. Anyways hope you like it, enjoy.
Solar Flare
His tongue lashed out from behind his lips; embracing, wrapping, tasting, feeling nothing. He smiled. The still coppery midnight air nurtured, invited him. That night he had a dream. A dream of many dreams. The air changed, turning from coppery to polluted. His days were near.
His fingers extended in a monotonous rippling effect; grasping, clasping, touching, feeling nothing. His eyes flickered. The heat rose from his body releasing, providing sweat. The taste of salt enticed the start of his top lip. That morning he watched the sun rise. The sky filled with luminous colors, brighter each moment. His end has came.
His toes wiggled in response to his nerves within; gripping, balancing, flexing, feeling nothing. He flinched. The wind surrounded his body as if forming a cocoon. The cool gust whipped against his skin, slicing straight to his skeleton. A chill sent travelling from his feet to his brain; reversed. Frosted bones. That afternoon, he reflected. Remembering his past for he had no future. His chapter ending before it began. Only a few more hours.
His body threatened to ache; lurching, startling, dying, feeling nothing. He smirked. His naked body revealed it's true self to the universe. In his mind, he is ripe. In his world, they are expecting him. For he is to become one, to become I. That evening he glimpsed the setting of the sun. But the sun stood still as if waiting, patiently waiting for him. The reddish glow appeared stealthily in the distance. The fluorescent rays kissed it's warm beams around his body, his face. Connecting with his mind, soul, spirit. He is ready.
Mind, soul, spirit. Ready.
And the sun stood still. As if waiting, faithfully waiting for his arrival.
