Gary Bunt (British, 1957-2025) - The Sermon in the Wheat Field (2015)
Saw a sermon where the pastor was talking about how we should forgive those who have done us wrong.
And he said: “we forgive ourselves everyday. You forgive yourself everyday. And who are you to do so?”
Like brother. I hate to break it to you but I was raised in the church. I am stuck in a perpetual state of guilt and shame. I have forgiven myself for nothing, thanks to those like you.
“stand before Him, tell Him you want to change.”
"I survived, so God is real" That notion is a slap in the face and an insult to every child who starved, every parent who grieved, every life cut short. Don’t use their suffering as your sermon’s footnote.
This is an original first pressing of The Satanic Mass from Anton LaVey’s own “Murgenstrumm” Record label released I. 1968. Only 1,875 were a part of the original pressing.
The first recorded black mass at the church of Satan in San Francisco, California 1967. If you listen to any kind of heavy music you’ve undoubtedly heard parts of this sampled in songs. This is extremely rare and sadly not a part of my own collection, but actually belongs to my boss at the music shop I work at. I have this displayed on a shelf above my desk that I work from so I see it everyday, but I’ll have to grab some more detailed pictures of this because it is a very unique and interesting piece of media. This has been repressed many many times and is pretty easy to find a copy for about $20, but there is a definite aura to this one probably passing through Anton LaVey’s hands himself.

The Sermon of John the Baptist

In those days John the Baptist came, preaching in the wilderness of Judea and saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.” This is he who was spoken of through the prophet Isaiah:
“A voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way for the Lord, make straight paths for him."
Matthew 3:1-13
