reading red mars by kim stanley robinson and having to take breaks because it's making me legitimately upset
#red mars#mars trilogy#kim stanley robinson#this is not a critique of the book at all in fact this is praise#it's extremely realistic and the arguments about terraforing are so similar to#and at their most basic actually Are#the same problems we have here and now regarding nvironmental policy and human impact#it's just transported to a 'blank slate' setting in the story#and having to read about all the support behind how humans not only have to but Deserve to shape the planet to their will...#flames. on the sides of my face.#it's infuriating!!!!!#again. only because the story so perfectly reflects real life. the book itself is very good in this regard.
