#it's just... frustrating

Well. El WooWoo Wednesday is upon us. Thank you @artsyunderstudy, @whatevertheweather, @that-disabled-princess, @wellbelesbian/@nausikaaa, @shrekgogurt and @you-remind-me-of-the-babe for tagging me the past 1.5 weeks. I'll catch up with your stuff soon.

Let's talk about the elephant in the room: the Stardew Valley 1.6 update on consoles. Nothing else has happened in the world apart from that. It's just Stardew Valley. I have been playing it a lot instead of writing, but a while ago, I was thinking about writing again.

Honestly, Ljubili se is *gestures around*, so I was thinking about maybe already starting the 2024 Challenge fic. My idea for that fic is that Blaine is the brother of the Hero of the Story, the Chosen One, the Saviour and whatever. Blaine's fine with being in Cooper's shadow, since he never wanted to be the hero anyway. But then Kurt Hummel arrives, who claims all of this is a story, because it is. The Cooper Chronicles is a bestselling series in Kurt's world and he's fallen into it. It's up to Kurt and Blaine to find a way for Kurt to go home.

Let's see where it goes, eh?

[name] barges through the door, making Blaine drop his glass in shock. "Where is your brother?" she yells. "I don't know," Blaine answers, "He started another quest this morning. Something about a mystical cave up north?" Blaine's not entirely sure. He tries to keep track of his brother's heroics, but there are just too many of them. He crouches down to pick up the shards of glass. "Then, we need you." Blaine drops the shard he had just picked up. "Me?" Blaine asks. He's the only one in this tower room, but he still asks to be sure. "Someone's been brought in. He's hurt. You can heal, right?" Blaine doesn't have Cooper's healing powers, but he is interested in alchemy. He can try. "Okay," Blaine says, and he follows [name] out of the door, leaving the shards behind.

The person who's been brought in is Kurt, by the way. Also, the premise of this fic is inspired by J.M. Frey's The Accidental Turn series, but I haven't read those books in almost a decade and apart from the premise, it has nothing to do with the series.

(Also I might be writing a Class fic. But also, writing.)

at first, I was very disappointed that shinichi and ran didn't really kiss in 1004 (even though looking back I wonder why I thought there was a chance for such a thing to happen ^^") but now after almost 2 months im just glad they didn't because yeah, something as big as that should happen first following a big moment and a deeper reason not a field trip. I think im starting to understand gosho's style better and it definitely won't happen randomly.. basically it's bits by bits

I’m still disappointed, but that’s just me. The importance of a first kiss isn’t so important that you have to have some amazing circumstance around it to make it mean anything, the fact that it is a first kiss should be all the meaning necessary. The kiss makes it a big moment. Granted, I also didn’t fully enjoy the Kyoto trip being a romance arc in general, since I don’t feel like the emotions were as good as in London arc and things felt unnecessary in many places, but the other thing.

Gosho had already trolled an ‘almost kiss’ way back during the first time Shinichi took a temporary antidote. During the Desperate Revival, on stage, and he decided it would be best to do that again except give ‘a’ kiss only to the cheek.

I said it right after those chapters came out, it would have been perfectly fine for them to kiss there. It wouldn’t have lessened the kiss any that could come later. In fact, it’d make a later kiss more towards the very end of the series even more meaningful, because they’re official now and he still can’t be with her like he wants. If they’d had a romantic moment and did want to be together afterwards, they literally can’t. And the time they could meet again and hug and kiss and such, it’d be even better knowing that they were already at that point and weren’t allowed to act like they loved each other because ‘Shinichi’ can’t consistently be around.

Also, a cheek kiss from Ran doesn’t allow Shinichi to give any form of affection in return, even if she’s the one giving an answer and he’s the one who initiated everything by confessing.

There is nothing to excuse not giving a full kiss to Shinichi and Ran after all of the waiting fans have done. (Except possibly to give Heiji bragging rights if he manages to kiss Kazuha first, since he thinks Shin and Ran kissed but they didn’t.)

I've only recently been figuring out how much I just straight up don't trust most dusttale fans anymore.

I don't trust that people (beyond those who know about my timeline/ how I remember it) will actually acknowledge anything beyond the whole "sans became evil" thing. I don't trust them to understand how genuinely fucked up it was.

I don't trust anyone to actually get it right.

But then again, I'm aware that my perception of this is very much influenced by the fact I'm an introject of dust sans.

There's just a lot of things about it you just won't be able to understand (or portray right) if you've never actually been through it.

(note: this is why I don't interact with most dusttale fans btw)

honestly, I feel like I really fail as a writer, because I think I describe way too much. because I can’t figure out what details aren’t needed. most of my writing ends up sounding like a step by step list bc I can’t narrow it down to what is the most important.

I think the rest of my writing is starting to be okayish. but it still gets so repetitive because I’m just describing every single action the characters do. maybe I’m just not cut out for this.
