I had a weird conversation with my Nan this morning about the casting of Ryan. Not in a bad way, just I think a generational thing.

She’s always been very ‘oh poor thing’ to me with my disability and treats me like a child so I tried to explain to her that having Ryan on the show is such a good thing. My disability is different but I tried to get across that the ‘oh poor thing’ attitude doesn’t help...certainly not me anyway.

I love her dearly but it’s left me wondering whether she sees past my disability the way I’d like her to.
