Yellow Beetles
Malon: After Link saved Hyrule, there was a time when I began to get super timid around him.
Link: Apparently if you personally save the general world from death and destruction, people like you... a lot.
Malon: So we kind of grew apart for a while.
Link: You mean YOU ghosted me.
Malon: I wasn't going to fight a bunch of starry eyed fangirls for a guy I didn't even know liked me at the time. Besides, I watched you eat dirt as a kid Link.
Link: Still hurt.
Malon: Anyways, the next time we saw each other he made a deal that if he found a yellow beetle, a bug I'd never seen in all my life, I'd talk to him more often.
Link: You can only ignore me for so long before I bring out the bargaining chips.
Malon: I'll admit I was both impressed and touched when he showed up half an hour later covered in dirt and holding up a jar with a bug in it triumphantly. But it kind of stopped being so touching the second time... and the third... and the fourth... and the sixth...
Link: You told me it didn't exist. Don't ever tell me something doesn't exist. *puts bug jar on the table*
oh god i don't think this so-called drabble is gonna fit the post
I want to write
I want to write a lot of things. I’m not sure yet if I should put them as chapters or if I should just put the entire think up at once. I’ll think on it.
Just finished watching the X Factor live show. I’ve ranked the performances based on my own personal preference. So if you want a long post about what I think, please read.
1. Che Chesterman: If you would have asked me an hour ago if he would be number one this week for me, I would have said you were crazy. BUT, I think he killed it this week. They’ve styled him a bit; and, he genuinely seems comfortable on stage. To be fair, I think a big part of why he’s number one for me is the song selection...Nick really did knock it out of the park with that mash-up.
2. Lauren Murray: Not going to lie, I didn’t love the song. She, however, is infectious. Girl can SANG. So, even if I didn’t love the song (or the production..what even was all that going on behind her?)...I thought she sounded incredible and want to see more of her.
3. Seann Miley Moore: Idgaf if people thought it was too “theatrical”...it was amazing. Some of our greatest performers would be considered theatrical. God knows, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, etc...don’t just get up there and sing. Anyway, I have loved him from the start and I still do.
4. Alien Uncovered: Another act that I didn’t love... But, wow, do they have their shit together. You can tell that they worked their asses off this week and that means something. They have a style and it works. Are their vocals the best? No. But it doesn’t matter.
5. Louisa Johnson: There’s something about this girl that I don’t quite like and I can’t put my finger on it; I think it may be that she seems a bit inauthentic? However, I chalk that up to her being 17 and just not really knowing who she is as a performer yet. That being said, she killed it. God Only Knows is one of my all time favourite songs; and, while she didn’t really sing it the way I love, she did put her own spin on it and it came out incredible.
6. Monica Michaels: Glad they brought her back. What a voice! What I love about Monica is that she isn’t afraid to be a bit raw. When she sings, she lets it all out and you can feel it. The song was great for her.
7. 4th Impact: At the audition stage they were one of my favourites. There was something about this performance that was a bit of a miss for me? Maybe because I just hate the song haha. However, they are great singers and performers; and, I think with time on the show, they will develop into something amazing.
8. Mason Noise: I hope the UK forgives him. I was a bit mad when Nick put him through over Josh last week; but, with this performance, he showed that he deserves to be here. The dancing! He has such potential. I trust Nick; if he says he’s a good guy, I buy it.
9. Anton Stephans: Oh my god, is there a song I hate more than this song? And, somehow I hate it even more, every time it is sung by a performer on one of these singer competition shows. He sang it well; but, I can’t get past the song.
10. Kiera Weathers: I liked Kiera’s first audition. I liked her 6 chair challenge...I did not love this. Who even was that up there? It didn’t seem like her. The song wasn’t great, the performance was lacking. I think Simon’s critique was DEAD ON...and, I think she knew it was too.
11. Bupsi: Sigh. I’ve never been a big Bupsi fan tbh. I don’t like shtick; and, her whole “nasty” thing is SUCH a shtick. However, it got her this far so maybe there is something to it that I’m missing. That being said, she got rid of her shtick...on the first live show? Probably not a great idea.
12. Reggie n Bollie: I don’t care what Cheryl says: any group that sings “Wasn’t Me” without a hint of irony is a novelty act. They seem nice and they probably do have hearts of gold...but that’s not enough.
13. Max Stone: What even was that? Does Simon hate him? Is he actively trying to get him kicked off the show? A white British man singing reggae is already a big no for me; but, mix that with it being a version of an Adele song and I’m done. That’s it. I’m done. It was just so fucking painful to watch; and, I was happy I didn’t watch it live, so I could mercifully skip to the end.
What do I get if I do this follow list?
"Sh-should I cut my h-hair...?" *runs a hand through her hair*
