They just reunited and they're already arguing
Ok, so I dragged my exhausted, night owl ass off to the cardiologist this morning, complete with a tote of all my medications.
Seeing as this was a new patient consult, I didn't think I'd get any tests today BUT they did run another EKG. And the results were the same as the ER. Something's off about my heart. To quote the cardiologist, "your results weren't fully abnormal, but they definitely aren't normal either. You're right in the middle." So more confirmation my heart is beating out of whack. He wasn't sure if it was related to my other health problems or not, or if COVID did something.
Either way, in 2 weeks I'm scheduled for an echocardiogram and a holt monitor to wear for 24-48 hours; a battery of blood tests as soon as I can get over to one of the local blood drawing places; and a stress test on December 1st. Follow up appointment is in January.
Admittedly the wait time still kinda sucks, BUT I feel better and validated since the ekg picked up again that something's wrong, and the doctor didn't blow me off. I've got tests on the schedule now which is more than I had when this started. Until then I have to continue to not lift heavy things, rest when able, and not do shit that makes my heartrate spike. I'll take it.

i couldn't get their ‘death glare’ down on the portrait but i think this is as close as i can get rn 😌 also, should i add the RO portraits on the character profile? it'd be easier to visualise them at least. i can also add a written description on the profile for those who are using text-to-speech.
