how would you describe obito and madara's relationship? i always thought of it as a parent/son kind of dynamic (obito has mommy issues cuz of him) but i'd like to hear ur thoughts :D

I can understand why ppl would see a perant child relationship. There's alao good AUs(there was this comic abt them in modern AU i liked that one) it can be done good but isn't for me personaly.

And forup just to be clear this isn't a hate post on madara and if anyone likes him and his toxic relationships that's fine i do too(just not near my bbg) . This is just me picking apart what happened. Feel free to discuss and arguee

I was rewatching some key scences yesterday to answer the question better and fresh up my memory. My comentary isn't order but idk how to make it more sense

Marada was so fucking awfull to obito

First you have this navie child that just wants to help everyone. Ofc obito is greatfull to madara for saving him. Madara was traumatizing and manipulating obito on purpose to serve his goals. He groomed obito(not in the sexual sense as far as canon goes) And i think the older obito grew thr more he grew awer of this but kept going cuz was convinced of the paln itself.

Obito atlest in the anime it seemed that obito disliked madara but only had a commen goal

2 scence that really broke me are in the war with jubidara . Obito learnig the truth as madara invades kamui and obito asking what he is to madara. I remeber i was so sad and angry for obito.

Esp the manga panal when madara enters kamui obito looks like s traumatized child having a flashback.

And later where obito even asks what he is to madara and madara answers. The fact that obito cared enough to ask idk why he asked maybe he looked up to madara a bit or needed the answer to ground himself more

But madara answer" you're not obito but myself madara" he didn't vew obito as his owen person(neither did obito at many points cuz of him) and maybe it's my trauma speaking it reminds me a lot abusers taking importaint things from their victems to controll them .

Alao obito acting as madara 100% did mental damage to obito.

Idk if it's fair to say it's abusive maybe it's my own trauma and biases speaking here but it 100% is toxic and unmutual

Madara giving obito mommy issus is so real actully madara is like the narcesstic mother seeing their child as an extension and tool reather then their child

yk ppl making obito=aniken jokes? Their relationship is like aniken and palpataine mentor that manipulates and used their deciple
