According to Deadline, Warner Bros is in the early stages of developing a TV series prequel to their monster hit franchise It. Tentatively titled, Welcome To Derry, the series will be set in the early 1960s, some 27 years before the first movies events. In keeping with the established law from the book and movies, Pennywise feeds on Derrys children (and occasionally the odd adult) for a few weeks every 27 years. Or, more specifically, Pennywise feeds on the fear of his victims before he eats them. The movie relocated the story from the 50s to the 80s, so it makes perfect sense that the prequel will explore Pennywises first summer in Derry.
