Mermay Day 24: Chibi Gertrude

Wanna know something weird?

I conceptulized Gertrude as a male being who just happened to have a rather femme name. But in the Species of Fish I draw them as-a Monkfish-only the females are the larger of the two sexest and have the shiny light dangle. BUT! Male Monkfish fuse into the bigger female and literally just dissolve into her body and eventually become a pair of fish nuts she'll use when she needs to breed.

So the question dissolves eventually into 'What is Gertrude's Gender or Sex'

The answer is Fish and Fish.
