@iteachmorons Keep looking for a doctor who will actually listen (and possibly send you to a pain specialist? There are some in Brisbane). It took mum about four doctors before she found one willing to listen, and when she finally did, it didn't take long for him to discover that she had both cysts right beside her spinal cord AND a pinched nerve.
Yeah I’ve been considering asking for a referral to a pain specialist for a while now - the only issue is I’m already hemorrhaging money with my current health expenses and adding one more isn’t going to do me any favours in that department. I mean the main reason I’ve stuck with this GP this long is he bulk bills :(
The kicker is I’m already diagnosed. We know why I’m in pain and we’re just playing the waiting-for-health-insurance game until I can get direct treatment - this GP KNOWS this. He’s just all, “opiates are DIRTY” (a thing he literally said to me) and “pain is relative” and I’m this close to ripping his head off and yelling down his neck, “HOW RELATIVE IS YOUR PAIN NOW, BUDDY???”.
iteachmorons answered your question “I’m proud of myself for cleaning all the dishes in the sink (that I...”
It's always the hardest part for me becuase I COULD put them away, or I could just keep taking clean clothes from the basket and no one needs to know I have three weeks worth of washing waiting to be put away.
I am definitely guilty of this !!!
@iteachmorons There aren't other doctors at the same bulk billing practice? Just because they're at the same practice doesn't mean they have the same opinion on pain killers- my husband had to see a different doctor to his usual while the doctor was on holiday, and the other doctor refused to prescribe him any painkillers on principal, even with the x-rays showing that his wrist and hand is completely fucked, and knowing that he's been on endone without issue for years.
Yeah there are. My social awkwardness just likes to raise it’s head at the most inopportune times and this is one of them heh. Like I’ll go into the same clinic to see a different doctor and then see this other dude and it’ll be like awkwardly running into an ex or something.

I only worked a full week about twice this term, I've been that exhausted. Take care of you first. If you're too tired, you can't teach.
this week would have been the third full week in a row, and I just noped the fuck out of that. I feel ya.
iteachmorons replied to your post:This is sort of a gif request but you could just...
I sent a fic prompt a while back that you might not have seen. It was Hotch/ Reid from the POV of a local LEO
[/screeches]
OH, MY WORD, NO, I DID NOT GET THIS. [/meows angrily at tumblr]
Did you have a season preference for this, or is it up to me? This is totally being written the moment I have time and am not either doing gifs to apologize for the sore lack of them or am not writing the next chapter of CU -- so maybe like tomorrow.
try pressing ctrl + shift + t. that usually works for me.

eheheh [slightly unhinged laughter] I don’t think you guys know HOW MANY TABS I have open and how utterly and severely my browser crashes when it crashes. usually it takes my entire laptop down with it, I have to hold the power button down and kill the whole thing, then re-instate some of my laptop’s settings once I log in again because it forgot what my background image was supposed to be.
I use chromium as my browser, which works a bit faster than chrome, despite their being very few noticeable differences in capability. when i open up my browser after it crashes (even if the whole laptop didn’t crash), it only remembers a certain number, if any. occasionally the “restore previous session” option isn’t there for some reason (it is sometimes but not always), and there’s always the time when, actually, re-opening the tabs I had open just isn’t worth it. not to mention the fact re-opening them all at once would just crash the thing again.
either way, hopefully I’ve learned from this repeated mistake and WON’T BE DOING ANY OF THIS AGAIN goddamn it Elmie why do you do this
I have a scar that makes it look like I have two belly buttons.
Really? Very interesting.
Uhhh I have a scar on my wrist from when I scrapped it against the metal shower door handle, and when I first got it (which was fairly recently like maybe 4 months ago?), my little sister saw it and was super worried I was cutting myself or something. I’m like, thank you for your concern, but nope I’m just a klutz.
