Okay, ‘nonnie, whO GAVE YOU THE RIGHT? Just kidding; you guys can come to me with anything like this. But this actually kind of slayed me because I honestly loved Haley’s character before she became a plot device to cause pain for Aaron Hotchner. (:

Sorry. I may be a bit salty about that. But for real, that song is absolutely Hotch/Haley from Hotch’s view. I find it difficult to believe he’s any different than he was prior to joining the BAU. He seems the type to be super straightforward about his wants in life, when talking to someone he plans to spend said life with. And at first I think Haley was actually fine with that, but she grew tired of his other “family” (the team) and finally broke. I don’t condemn her for it because I know that’s got to be hard, and she probably didn’t believe it would take such a toll on her, or believed his devotion might waver after Jack was born, and when neither of those things turned out to be correct, it was hard for her to reconcile. (I don’t think having an affair was an appropriate response, so don’t think I’m including that in my mini-rant. I just feel like she’s given a terrible rep even without the affair being brought up, and it’s not quite warranted. She deserved to be developed more than she was, because so much was ignored for plot, like the fact that she didn’t seem to know what Foyet looked like even though she was in witness protection for that very reason??)

This is getting long, so I’ll shut up now. The main thing is that this song is super sad but definitely summarizes a valid point (or two) about Hotch and Haley’s relationship.

Hey guys! I’m sure a lot of you are familiar with the H/R prompt meme that was in existence years back, but has since gone pretty extinct. I haven’t been in the fandom long enough to know what happened to the mod of that community, but it appears they’re no longer around.

This is a wonderful WIP being written by someone I’m calling a new friend.  I’ve beta-read her last two chapters thus far (it only has five) and I just finished reading the first draft for six, and she has an extremely different and intriguing writing style than most.  Her work has a lot of introspection, and I’m totally excited to see where she’s taking it.  She’s put a lot of work into planning it already, so it would be amazing if some of you could go check it out!  <3

It’s more-so canon divergence than it is an AU, but Spencer was never in the BAU, and Aaron left the BAU to focus on Jack.  The rest of the team is still in it, or is at least mentioned frequently enough, so don’t concern yourself over that aspect.

No matter what, I really recommend this fic.  Give it a shot, if nothing else?  (;

Oh my word, I’m not sure how to answer this??  Literally the first thing that came to mind was, “Sorry, not sorry,” if I’m being completely honest, haha.

Okay, so ignore the fact that I’m totally blushing because reasons, but I don’t know how to stop them from being cute.  They do it all on their own, nonnie.  (;  All you have to do is watch them around each other.  It’s always the little things that give people away, you know?

But really, there are much worse ways to go than a pile of fluff, so just embrace it when your time comes.  All it will do is bring you to the side of Hotch/Reid, and I promise it’s amazing over here.  Everyone here is insanely amazing and sweet, and I’ve never been part of such an encouraging shipping fandom.

So I think I’ll willingly accept this form of hate.  Hope to see you around, Hate/Love/Hate Anon!  <3

Finally got to see Jurassic World, and now I’m thinking about writing an AU where…

(In order to keep from spoiling anything, the rest is under the cut!)

...Hotch is the (human) raptor daddy, Rossi is the intelligent person assigned as his assistant of sorts (aka raptor uncle), and John Curtis is the (smart but also) idiotic man who wants to use raptors for the military.

Then there’s Reid, who is only slightly socially inept, but he’s also intelligent enough to explain anything necessary and as such is assigned to be the assistant/secretary of Erin Strauss, the park operations manager who only sees dinosaurs as objects to be controlled and contained rather than as actual living, intelligent creatures. (Which means, yes, I am screwing the characters up a little, but it’s not meant to be a direct mirror.) We also have the lovely Garcia working in the control room, and she and Strauss have an okay working relationship, but it’s nothing grand, unsurprisingly.

For fun Derek Morgan would be the CEO because he would potentially make the decision to keep everyone contained in the park until it was necessary to go so far as to evacuate. He would, of course, take matters into his own hands and help actively instead of sitting around safely. (but he won’t do something stupid and get himself killed in the process)

JJ and Will are the concerned parents of Henry, who is at Jurassic World because he wanted to spend time with his godfather Reid (starting to come full circle, ‘eyyy) and his long-distance friend Jack, who happens to be the son of Will’s old friend Hotch.

For the sake of the AU, Henry and Jack would be…let’s say eleven and fourteen, respectively. So, as most t(w)eens are wont to do, they end up exploring in the gyrosphere that truly shouldn’t have been programmed to allow riders to drive it, and out of sheer curiosity they end up going to places they shouldn’t. Cue issues with the recently-escaped dinosaur.

Oh, and the geneticist who is “evil” (aka working for Curtis) would either be Gideon or Foyet because why not.

I would like to bring in others, like Blake and Prentiss, but I literally cannot think of how, so if anyone’s interested in this, message me and let me know, please. (Though if I’m entirely honest, I thought they could be the names of the Raptor Squad, who won’t have terrible deaths because I loved the raptors. Emily would be Blue, Alex would be Delta, Elle would be Echo, and Kate would be Charlie.)

Idk. This is mostly just my ramblings for initial thoughts. Would people actually be interested in this? Should I cut down the amount of involved characters? I’ll take suggestions into contemplation if nothing else.

Oh, my goodness, no, you’re fine, I swear.  <3  I didn’t want to message you too much, so I made sure I didn’t bother you.  I was waiting until it had been four weeks since I’d heard from you to message you again, just to see if you were all right.  But knowing that you’re fine is a huge relief.  I assumed you might be busy, tbh, and yet the worry with friends you can’t see regularly is that there’s always the possibility they’ve been in an accident or something?  (It wasn’t my main thought or anything, but it was always lurking in the shadows.  But then again, that thought is there with all my friends and family, too, so it’s just normal for me.  Anxiety or pessimism, I’m not sure which.)

(Also, I may be tearing up just a bit, but I’m just really emotional when I’m sick, ffff, and I’m so happy to hear from you, you fantastic ray of sunshine! uwu)

Are you currently working on any fics?

I’m so sorry for the delay in answering asks.  I haven’t been feeling too well recently, so I’ve mostly been on my phone and not on the computer.  Because of that, I haven’t been able to answer anyone.

Anywho, I do have two WIP’s that I’m actively working on (Come Undone and Temptation) as well as a WIP that may as well be considered on hiatus (Let the Little Lady Talk) until I figure some more things out (because the people I usually talk to have been busy or MIA, and I don’t want to bother them).

Then I have several prompts lined up to write (huge thank you to iteachmorons and the two anons who gave me those, as well as the few people on AO3 who contributed) whenever I’m able to plan them out since I let myself dwell on them all and came up with multiple ideas.

And aside from those, I have loads of other ideas, mostly AU’s if I’m honest, that I’m working the kinks out of and doing research for.  I’m thinking of giving little snippets of them by doing the 30-Day OTP Challenge, just to see if people would be interested in reading the actual fics so I can possibly strike through some of them, haha.
