Item 53:  FAST-MOTION. At my friend Philip’s wedding, Giles Duley, myself and a few other forward-thinking innovators devised a new product and we would like to beta test the concept with you. It’s called: SoupFace and it involves eating soup from a bowl made from a mold of your face. First, create a mold of your face and create a bowl from food-grade silicone or food-safe resin or similar material. (Take all necessary safety precautions.) The exterior of the bowl should look like your face, and the interior should fit your face. Once it's cured, fill it with warm soup. Consume the soup without using a utensil and when the soup is gone and your face is back in the wet mold. Lift the SoupFace mold off the table without using your hands so you are wearing it as a mask.

The world around us is filled with small moments of magic, if you remember to look for them. Be still somewhere and contemplate the world until you notice something magical — a particular blade of grass, the way ants seem to greet each other as they work, a shiny coin on a dirty city street…. You get the idea. Write a poem about what you observe and your relation to it that is titled “magic” but has no direct reference to magic — just references to what you experienced.

53. [IMAGE] We often think about kindness for the animals at pet shelters or veterinarian clinics, but we forget about the hard-working staff. Bring “human kibble” to a vet clinic or shelter - a tray of pre-wrapped snacks or other small, easily eaten packaged food that is arranged to look like pet food, along with notes of thanks for their efforts to help animals.(You can bring regular kibble for the pets, too.) - Emily W.
