One really early I had for this (like, only weeks after Frank was first made, yes this is the first iteration) was that Laurie was going to be voiced by my childhood friend's hippie grandfather, but this could've easily been an absurdist joke or the likes.
I miss him. I only ever saw him like twice a year and he always got drunk and crazy.
(you know we've really hit a drought when I'm delivering archival anecdotes.)
I really don't know what I was thinking of when coming up with plots for the first iteration.
"It's [SCRAPPED GIRLIE]'s birthday, and they're inviting the other three Girlies to their big ass toilet paper mansion, however, unannounced to them, [SCRAPPED JOHNNY C. CLONE] is inside the mansion, trying to assassinate Mr. [SCRAPPED GIRLIE'S RICH TOILET PAPER MAGNATE FATHER], the [SCRAPPED TOILET PAPER FAMILY] Toilet Paper Brand CEO because he hates how expensive they are."
That's something I really wrote (sans the "name corrections") back in July 2023. Again, what was I thinking of?
Sprites intended for Riley Gets the Milk, a scrapped idea for a Pizza Tower mod from the first iteration, along with screenshots of the frankly horrible levels I made in that one older Pizza Tower level creator thingy intended to be a part of that mod. These were made from early July to late September of 2023.
Riley Gets the Milk was, as far as I'm aware, the only thing from the first iteration with any comprehensible plot (that plot being that of Pizza Tower's except set in a giant fridge with awkwardly inserted characters from the early periods of development). I'm not 100% sure if making this (ie, planning this and getting nowhere with it due to my lack of coding knowledge) back then had any sort of effect on the later iterations, but it probably did, if not subconsciously.
