To add to my previous post sorry, this is another ramble... What I hate about the entire Baekhyun public service situation the most is that some people assumed that it was because of preferential treatment. Moreover, they went out claiming that on the internet, where Baekhyun could very well see it. I hate that he felt pressured to reveal such personal information (that he kept to himself for at least a decade). And not just because the fans got worried, which would be endearing in a way, but also because he was unfairly(!) accused of being a cheater. How’s that cheating though? He didn’t even get an exemption from service (and even then... people get exempted sometimes!). Yes, he can come home after work, but he has to serve additional few months too! If all celebrities get special treatment, what about Chanyeol? Or Minseok? Or other idols who were assigned to active duty?
I initially wanted to say the news about his health was shocking, but tbh I wasn’t that surprised. I actually thought some time ago that he might have thyroid issues (when I noticed his peculiar Adam’s apple). But there was no way of knowing, and I’m not a doctor, so it wasn’t something I held onto. It’s sad that I somehow guessed it, and now it actually explains a few things too. E.g. why it’s so hard for him to maintain low body weight (this could be his lazy lil ass too hehe). But Baekhyunie asked us to think of his face as cute when it gets swollen, which we already do, I reckon ☺️
I hope he knows that people who came after him are bitter idiots. And he’s right — he’s probably much stronger and brighter than we could ever imagine, so my wish is that he continues to be that way always. Our lovely resilient fearless boy 💗
