I’m excited for it and also wary. I love Jared Harris and Adam Nagaitis. But also like an American-British hot take on a tragedy in Eastern Europe that’s still a living memory to people who survived it could go wrong quickly. So I’m nervous but will probably still watch it anyways

As much as I love the new trailer, I think it maybe gave too much away. I like the idea of evil modified John Connor, but it seems a little spoilery. What are your thoughts?

I’m a spoiler whore, to be blunt about it.  I know a few more things about this film than I talk about or that most of you all know.  I knew John was going to be a bad-guy for a while.  I did not know he was going to be robotized though.  And I don’t know if it’s actually John or if it’s just using his appearance.  Skynet is a sneaky bugger, remember.

As to the trailer giving things away… I think it had to.  I think it needed a hook to get people in the seats.  It had to give away something big and juicy, or else a lot of people would stay home and wait for video.  By giving away what seems to be a big major twist, they can have people salivate and chat about it and, invariably, more will likely be keen to pony up for a theater showing.

The shine has come off this franchise we all love, and no one can deny that.  T1 and T2 where both phenomenal films in totally different ways, while 3 and 4… tried?  But failed to really reach potential.  The only chance TG has of good box office is to lure people in and… I think this will do it.  3 out of every 4 comments I’ve read on here or twitter are positive reactions, even if lamenting the give away.
