Amelia entered test chamber 13 out of today's thirty test run. She felt hungry, but knew from experience that if she was patient she still wouldn't get food unless she looked for it. Looking around the chamber for an exit, she fount one of those observer windows. Usually no one was there but this time it looked like a man was standing in the window. Maybe he was told to take notes or something. There was a door blending into the walls but it was most likely locked. Besides it was at the same hight as the window. Aperture Science architecture at its finest. She took a deep breath. "Hey mister! You, up there!" She yelled to the man.

Gizmo was busy welding something together when he felt a presence. Turning his blowtorch off, he said, "Alright, what do you crudmunchers want? I'm busy." Probably thinking it was one of the H.I.V.E. Five, he was going to be in for a surprise when he turned around.

Nearly all her life had been spent in Aperature. She'd longed for the outside world, of which she had been away from for far too long. Chell had not known what to expect, all those years, but it had been disheartening to discover an empty world, devoid of human life. The only one she knew who might still live was still deep within Aperature, and one day she would go back, once she found a way. She owed him everything, she had realized, upon her venture through Aperature. One day she would return and search for him. It was the present which was her priority however, and she ventured further into the store, to the makeshift  room of furniture she'd moved around, magazines, books, and newspapers scattered around she'd been reading to pass the time. She crossed the room, with a gesture for him to join her. There was little else to occupy the time but seek answers, and it seemed as if there had  been an outright war from what the papers had articles of within them.
