OH MAN I LOVE IT

it's one of the rare moments when Mikasa isn't blindly supporting Eren because he's her only family, it's her verbally punching sense into Eren BECAUSE he's her only family (and the most vital part of the plan)

being family or considering someone as your family doesn't just mean you have a love that cannot be measured, it also means that you're willing to literally/verbally/metaphorically slap truth and sense into your family as many times and as unsympathetically as needed

Mikasa is obviously more fitted to the elder sibling role than Eren is because she has always been more aware of not just Eren (and his recklessness), but of her surrounding and the situation they both are placed in. She doesn't beat around the bush, she cuts straight to the point because being wishy-washy or hesitant is just a quick way to get yourself killed. While Mikasa hasn't thrown away her humanity per se, I can definitely saw she's at least done a damn good job in keeping it in check beneath her cool exterior, which is nearly the perfect opposite to Eren's case. How beautiful is that?
