(Answer this at any time) Harakore lead Itoito until she spotted something and she walked towards the direction of Jay’s cave. “H-Hello? Anyone here?”

Once the cave came into view, it would be immediately obvious that something foreign to Lalotai had set up their home there. Outside the cave entrance, a clothesline was drawn and a few human t-shirts were flapping in the gentle breeze. There was also a fenced-off garden filled with the most colorful, non-carnivorous flowers that the Realm of Monsters had to offer, as well as a selection of edible plants.

At first, nobody seemed to be home, but upon a closer look, the two crabs might notice a faint glimmer of gold underneath a pile of sand and mud right in front of the entrance. A quiet, peaceful snoring could be heard underneath.

This is Itoito, a very aggressive, defensive crab who firmly believes she is protecting a clutch of eggs. She was once a male, but was taken as a host by a monster rhizocephalan barnacle, which took control and made the crab believe he was female and had always been female, and that the yellow bulge that had burst forth on his underside was his own brood of eggs. 

She's tough, and highly suspicious of unfamiliar monsters. If you genuinely wish to befriend her, odds are it will take some time to earn her trust.))

Itoito from Space Sheriff Shaider ep. 29

Itoito has a built-in sheep that generates wool into a ball of yarn on its head. When people wear clothes made of the yarn, it turns them violent. Naturally its weapon is a giant pair of scissors.

(Guess who finally remembered "oh yeah, I'm supposed to be participating in a story arc thingy"? Jeez, I just can't keep track of my muses and what they're supposed to be doing anymore. XD Ignore this or just answer whenever you feel like it if you want, but I figured I should do something.) Itoito had been very quiet... Dead silent, in fact, save for the occasional low mumble to herself, sitting off at the edge of the Grove. Yet, somehow one could easily tell she was restless.

Kaitiaki was still out discussing things with Tupu… but Jay had been filled in on the situation once she’d been well enough to handle it… And she was getting more and more worried over how things would pan out for her adoptive son and his mates…

So when Itoito was acting restless, she noticed.

The human approached as cautiously as possible, and very gently placed her hand against one of the crab’s legs.

“… Hey… Are you okay?” she asked quietly.

Question, was Itoito a female crab before being infected?

Soon enough Itoito had arrived with Harakore in tow, what few things they had on their backs. "We're ready to go." she said. "Hopefully the guy after us can't find this next place..."

Kaitiaki sighed in relief... Good. They could get going to the Grove now, where they’d be safe... or, if not completely safe, at least have a bit more protection.

He crawled over to his mates, and one by one, he pressed his head up underneath their chins, and purred softly... A small gesture to help calm them down, and silently say ‘I love you.’

“Either way, we’re... we’re going to make sure you two are out of harm’s way,” he assured them. “It’s going to... be okay...”

There was a strange calm in his voice again... Perhaps the seriousness of the situation, or... something else. But regardless, he adjusted his pack on his shell and gestured for them to follow him.

“Jay and the others will catch up... for now, stay close... And keep your eyes peeled i-in case he does show up...”

Itoito carefully took hold of the offered claw, and with that she led Harakore off. She was fairly quiet most of the way, determination in her expression but also a good deal of worry and concern as she glanced over at her mate. She wanted to offer some words of reassurance, better ones than earlier, ones that might actually put her more at ease... But she couldn't seem to come up with anything apart from an occasional murmured "It'll be okay."

Harakore let out the occasional whimper, but other than that, she was extremely quiet. She felt like escaping. Hiding away. Hell, she felt like going far away, dropping her eggs off somewhere, and just start a new life on her own. 

These were one of those moments when she wished she were human.
