So I read your summary for Keiko's live stream with Kaori and how they're joking about Gyaru and Keiko's sunglasses(?) and I wonder if you got that picture of what they're talking about? Oh and how Gyaru is Keiko really at her younger days?

For anyone who is curious, THIS is the post in question.

And yes, Keiko was very much in her gyaru era back in the early 2000s. She rocked some crazy looks to be honest. Lots of weird prints, big hair, heavy eye make-up, a super light lipstick, the trademark peace signs and duck faces, etc...

I couldn't find an exact match of the picture that Kaori is describing during the broadcast (Keiko looking over the top of a pair of sunglasses while doing a peace sign). There are similar pictures of course (see above) and also some pretty old ones of Kaori and Keiko posing together but neither of them look particularly gyaru here so I don't think Kaori was referring to those...

Keiko seems to be quite embarrassed about that time period but honestly, she looks so cute in every single picture (questionable styling choices notwithstanding XD)

Bonus: Here's a picture of Wakana and Keiko from nearly two decades ago. *sighs* The nostalgia~

Hi! Since your last answer was about Itokubo i remembered that up to this day i haven't found the answer to this question: did they ever release any official songs on CD's, online or anywhere else? I'm honestly almost completely in the dark about Itokubo (｡•́︿•̀｡)

First of all I recommend that you read Keiko’s Solo Interview from Kalafina Record and Keiko’s Spiritual Message from their Kadokawa Special Feature. She shares quite a lot of background info in both of these interviews. She is super frank about her time in Itokubo in the Kadokawa text so it’s a definite treat, be sure to check it out!

Itokubo (イトクボ) never officially “debuted”, the only song that was released “properly” on CD is “INTO THE SKY”. It’s from Beautiful Katamari and the seventh track on the official soundtrack Katamari Suteki Damacy.

Edit: Thanks to @auctumnitas for reminding me of “愛をありがとう | Ai wo Arigatō“. I do have it in my Itokubo folder but for some reason I forgot to mention it. I think it’s because I was focusing on YouTube too much (the video isn’t available there afaik).

To my knowledge they have sung a few other songs as well but I am not entirely sure whether those were covers or whatever...? I will admit that I never really dug that deep when it came to their music.

Hello Sarah !! Are you all right? This is Cinnamon again! I just wanted to ask you something. In one of your posts, probably an old one, you gathered several old images of Keiko, while still in Itokubo. Did you collect all the old Keiko images or is it still incomplete? I don't remember what the post was and I ended up forgetting to download those two files, if I could I could send the link again? And thanks for answering me earlier! Forgive me for the inconvenience...

My collection is by no means exhaustive but I have tried my best to create a more or less comprehensive compilation throughout the years.

And yes, Keiko IS body goals!! She is not super ripped - she has never been tbh - but she has almost always had a lovely well-toned waist line. 

It’s sad but I have long ago come to terms with the fact that I will never be able to attain a body shape like hers because my frame is just not as small. Height-wise I might be the same as Keiko but my torso is quite a bit wider than Keiko’s (｡•́︿•̀｡) Oh well, I am glad I can fit into her clothes and really, that’s all that counts.

Woah really? that would be so cool if they have social media now. But most probably Sony bans them in doing so. I did stalk Ayaka’s account too and found a very nice short video of her singing ari no mama no… And lol, Keiko looks so drunk and ready to collapse in the pic with Leslie.  Ayaka has some good english. I didnt know she was already active in singing/performing even as a child. Getting more new info thanks to our insanely talented detective putschki1969

Awww! (✿ꈍ。 ꈍ✿) So nice of you! There’s also a video on facebook where she sings Let it Go in many different languages. She does an AWESOME job!!! And she also posted a super short clip of her and Keiko singing “The Rose” at a karaoke place.

LOL, yeah, Keiko looks quite funny in that pic XD It’s to be expected that her English is good. I’m assuming one of the reasons she left Itokubo rather abruptly like Keiko said in her message, was that she went off to study English abroad. This blog post summarises Keiko’s radio appearance on FM Osaka from July 2007. Keiko said that from now on she’d have to do their regular radio show alone because Ayaka left to study in England for almost a year. This all fits together with Keiko’s Kadokawa Message, I guess.

“Tomoko-ane” looks similar to Chiaki Ishikawa to me. Though of course it isn’t her //hit but no clue about the other one

After some MORE detective work and with the help of symph0nia-pendragon and celerykalafina, I finally found the source of the picture => Ayaka’s instagram account!! Most of her pictures are cross posted to her facebook account. Here’s the source (sadly, it doesn’t say who is on the picture T_T)

BUT lookie what I also found there => It’s a picture from the same day apparently. (LOL at Keiko)

Source (Ayaka tagged this with #soulmates) I then remembered that Ayaka once mentioned that the Hong Kong singer Lesley Chiang was her best friend ever  =>

And Keiko also is good friends with her! I knew that Lesley Chiang came to support Kalafina during their 2010 Asia Tour!

So yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s Lesley Chiang in that group picture!!

Edit: And I’ve finally found out more about Tomoko!!!!!! I found her twitter account and her blog! She seems to be some sort of event manager (and apparently she offers therapy sessions as well o.O)
