Day 16:
Okay, so there are things to be excited about, and then there are things that it seems silly to be excited about. I think this is the latter. Never-the-less, I'm really excited about the fact that the five or so security guards that I have to pass by at all the choke points and badge reader secured doors I exit and enter the building through multiple times daily to smoke a cig, are finally starting to recognize and remember me. So instead of saying "Have a great day!" and "Good Morning :))" Now they say "See you soon!" and "Welcome back :))" I feel like a grinch to say this, but even though they seem really sincere and are nothing but pleasant and nice, and it's probably required for them to greet me... It still feels like canned empathy when you hear it all day every day. This of course means that next week, I'll get transferred to the desks on the other side of campus and it will all start over again. I won't see these guys for another month or two. :/
