Prosecuille but Phoenix Franziska sibling moment while they lived together in Europe…? Plz..? 🥺(Might-be-tiny-gt)
@might-be-tiny-gt thank you for making me do this I spent all last night and this morning thinking about them 🥺
Miles Edgeworth only ever seems to want to play in his room, alone, with his little dollhouse, never spending any time with his beloved big sister. Franziska is sick of it. He should be paying attention to her. She's kind of bored, and... Maybe a little lonely, not that she'd ever admit it.
Well, no matter. It all ends today. She's going to burst in there and demand that he spend time with her. What could he possibly have that's so interesting in that dollhouse, anyway?
"Miles Edgeworth!" She kicks open the door and sees him jump and scramble to hide... something. He's not supposed to have any secrets from her. So she supposes it's time for her own little ace attorney investigation.
"F-franziska... How can I help you?"
"What are you hiding? I demand you let me see!"
"I'm not hiding anything. Now please leave. I have a lot of things I need to get done and it would be much easier if you weren't following me around all day."
Franziska glares at him, pouting. She stomps her foot hard, next to the dollhouse on the floor, and hears a quiet little “Woah! Oof."
She looks down at it and blinks, then up at Miles, smiling a devilish little grin.
"Franziska, please-" but it's too late. She's already crouched down by it, ripping the roof off it. She looks inside to find... Nothing. Miles breathes a sigh of relief. Franziska gets angry and kicks it, knocking some furniture over and revealing a cowering little boy who once hid under it. He tries to scamper away, but Franziska's hands are too fast for him and he's scooped up in them.
"Is this what you've been hiding? A little pet? Why would you keep it a secret from me?!" Phoenix struggles against her grip. Miles wants to pry him from her hands but is too afraid to hurt him to try.
"His name is Phoenix, and he's not a pet. He's a secret because he wants to be. He's terrified of humans, and you holding him like that is not helping." He reaches for Phoenix, and Franziska turns away, pulling him close to her.
"Oh? If he's so afraid of humans, then why do you spend so much time with him, hmmm?"
"Because I'm the only human he can trust. He's all alone otherwise. Please, Franziska, you're hurting him."
"He can trust me too!"
"No, he can't. You've done nothing but terrorize him!"
"Yes, he can!"
"Then why don't you prove it. If you're so perfect, then prove you can be nice. Ask him what he wants."
"What... He...?" Franziska looks puzzled and turns to the little guy in her hand. She clears her throat. "Mr... Phoenix. What would you like me to do?"
"Um..." Phoenix takes a deep breath. "Well, you could put me down, for one..."
Franziska looks at him and blinks, then at Miles. She sits down on the floor and lets Phoenix go in front of her. He quickly but cautiously heads over to Miles, who also sits down, letting Phoenix climb into his hand and holding him in his lap.
"How come you get to hold him and I don't?!" Franziska pouts and crosses her arms.
"Because I didn't grab him. I offered my hand, and he accepted, because he trusts me. He's a person, not just some toy or animal you can do with as you please. If you want to hold him, you have to earn it. Start by introducing yourself properly."
Franziska rolls her eyes and leans forward to lay on her stomach, resting her head on her hand and holding out her other one, one finger pointed at Phoenix.
"Franziska von Karma, future prosecutor. And you are?"
"Uh..." Phoenix looks up at Miles and reaches his arm out to shake Franziska's finger. "Phoenix Wright, uh... Current borrower?"
Franziska nods as if she knows what that means. She doesn't, but she doesn't want to look like a fool by asking a foolish question like that.
"Remember, Franziska. It's very important that you keep him a secret. No one can know that borrowers exist. Especially not your father."
"Well..." Franziska sighs. "Fine. If he wants to stay secret... I promise. I'll protect you, little Phoenix Wright. Like a good big sister should." She pats his head with one finger and sits up, stretching. Phoenix jumps to the floor from Miles' lap. Franziska stares at him for a minute and places her hand down, palm-up in front of him. He climbs on and she lifts it up, being careful not to jostle him too much.
"Thanks, Franziska. But what do you mean by sister?" Phoenix asks.
"Well, your situation is the same as Miles, right? You lost your family, and now you're living here with us."
"Well, yeah."
"So then that would make you also my brother."
"I... I guess so. That is, if you want me to be. Do you want me to be your big brother?"
"Little brother. You're littler than me."
"...but I'm several years older-"
"Trivial."
"It's not worth arguing, Phoenix. She's... Insistent." Miles laughs a little bit.
