Isn’t it wild that we can’t talk about /actual cishet people and captitalism ruining pride, without said people calling us slurs, or without fucking exclusionists pinning this on the ace community (which makes no fucking sense btw)? Tumblr cannot have a discussion on this issue without scummy people trying to dominate the conversation and use it against vulnerable people in the community.
Nearly every post on this I’ve seen on this subject has either been derailed by transmeds, exclusionists, aphobes who literally advocate for violence against aspec people at pride, terfs/radfems, and homophobes, or has been posted by people in said bigoted hate groups who are dogwhistling and trying to get the queer community on board with their agendas. Please be careful with the posts you reblog on these subjects, and pay close attention to what they are saying and what kinds of people are posting them. And most importantly, please focus on fighting to make pride an actual safe and welcoming place for all lgbtqa+ people, where bigots like these aren’t welcome at all.
