With the start of the school year, Theo was feeling worn out, doing classes, working two jobs, not really being able to sleep ever. At least his mood had lifted a bit since New Years, with the time passing and his feelings over everything that had happened healing a bit. He still felt pretty abandoned, but he knew he needed to move on. Sitting in the empty lounge, he was reading one of his bio textbooks, though his mind couldn’t seem to stay focused on the page. He lets the book fall off the to the side, pulling his legs up underneath him, pressing his palms to his eyes, letting out a little yawn. He’d felt extra antsy lately, his focus even more all over the place than normal. He lets out a little tired groan, pulling his hands away, opening his eyes and blushing when he realizes someone else has entered the lounge. “Sorry, I um, I didn’t realize someone else was here.”
It was quite rare that Grace made an appearance in the lounge. She typically did not unless asked by Keith or another friend. It wasn’t that she did not enjoy being social and engaging in the company of others, as she very much did. And it was not as if she did not mind when games and drinking got a bit out of hand and clothing seemed to become more scarce. It was simply that she did not often like to partake in the games herself, as her truths were often only told to those who she saw worthy. And good luck to any who wished for her to do something that she did not wish to do. But lately she had heard that the groups had been more intimate, so she decided to pass by that evening. Indeed, there was only one young man there, who seemed to have fallen asleep. “That is quite alright darling, it seems to be a quiet place to sleep this night. I do hope that I did not disturb you?”

It had only been one night. One night on the island and his heart was already feeling like it was going to leap from his chest as he grips onto his books so tight that his knuckles were turning white. He keeps his eyes cast downward as he walks across the quad, hoping not to make eye contact with anyone. When he’d arrived on the island, he’d been full of hope, but now he felt nothing but confusion and a heavy pit in the bottom of his stomach. The letter from the headmaster made his head spin, and he tried not to think about it. He drags his feet, reluctant to go back to the cell that was supposed to be his room. He breathed in the air, making the most of his time outside. The cell didn’t have any windows, and he already was feeling the drain it had on his entire being (something that now made sense due to his recently discovered lineage). Shuffling along, a pair of feet came into view, forcing him to look up at the figure standing in front of him. “Oh um, sorry…” He stammers over his words, swallowing against a lump in his throat. “I um… I’ll just get out of your way.”
“Topaz! You put that down right now! I swear to Merlin...” Daisy cried, taking off after that little brown furry body. The niffler would of course have to dart up the lap of a very well-dressed and frankly snooty looking Mistress and tug the chunky bracelet right off of her wrist. Luckily he had stopped eating things a few months ago but sometimes catching him was enough of a challenge. “That is it! I am so putting you in your carrier when we get home. No more exploring for you Mister” The red-haired witch grumbled, slowing as she finally narrowed in on her pet. Topaz, in true mischievous fashion, darted behind some poor unsuspecting student, hiding behind his legs and chattering at her furiously. “Hey..watch your language” she laughed a little breathlessly, as she finally caught up with the niffler and his latest victim. “No please, I’m sorry! He’s just been in a mood today. Don’t worry though, he won’t bite! But don’t fall for that innocent expression for a second” Sure enough, the creature was looking up at them both like all was right in the world. “Yeah..not buying it” Daisy giggled, then looked at the man again. “I’m Daisy! And this is Topaz”

Theo stood awkwardly at the side of the venue, chewing on his lip. This place was already too many people for his liking, and he pulls on his cuff anxiously. He was wearing the suit that he’d bought for Max’s birthday, so at least he blended in somewhat, but it was nothing compared to the expensive attire he saw on many of the people there. At least his shirt and tie kind of hid the collar. He was still a little sore from his rental, but it was starting to feel a bit better. He chews on his lip adjusting the cheap mask he’d been able to find. It had green on it, which he liked, and there was something about the mask that made him feel a little more comfortable, like he had a another layer to hide behind–something very welcomed after being mostly naked for the last two weeks.
He decides he needs a drink, hoping it would help loosen him up. Grabbing one of the ciders, taking a small sip, enjoying the flavour–it was one of his favourite drinks after all. A few more sips in, as he rocks on his heels, he watches the people around him, their bodies enticing and attractive. He bites down on his lip, not totally realizing the haze that settles over his brain, cheeks a little rosy as he starts feeling a strange, uninhibited need inside himself. He shifts awkwardly, pulling at his pants a bit, uncomfortably, not realizing quite how excited all the dancing, beautiful bodies were making him.
Abbi was already wishing she had just stayed in her cell. She had a huge amount of distrust for these kinds of events, as she had been on the island far long enough to know how they usually ended. It had been bad enough when she’d been a Mistress, so she could imagine it wasn’t going to be all that awesome as a slave now. Halloween had been more than shit, and she wasn’t looking to add to the crap memories from that. But she had never claimed to be all that quick on the uptake, so there she was, jacked into a satin dress with a slit that, knowing her lack of grace, was likely to mean trouble.
Blue eyes scanned the crowd, as she made a beeline for the bar. Samir was no where to be seen, which made her pout as she reached blindly for a drink. Wine..that would do, she thought as she took a sip. After a bit, a sort of freeing feeling came over her. Always blunt, at times to a fault, she now felt the urge to tell everyone in the room just what she thought of them. “That dress does nothing for your tits love” she murmured casually to the woman next to her, then moved among the crowd again. Spying Theo, Abbi smirked as she made her way over to him, letting out a soft chuckle. “Not gonna lie..you look hard up enough to hump air. Feeling okay?”

Theo quietly groans, laying in his bed in his cell, blanket wrapped around him. Even before coming to the island he was someone who tended to get sick frequently. He didn’t do well in the cold dampness of the cells, and his stomach was terribly sensitive. Being stuck in the cells, underground with such little access to sunlight, on a diet of whatever was available at the slave cafeteria was taking it’s toll on his body. He felt a feverish sweat over his body, as he curled himself up into a small ball. He hoped that he’d be able to go unnoticed, though he worried since it was during the day and pretty much all the slaves were out and about in his classes. He didn’t know who to talk to about missing his classes that day, but feeling the way he did, with his anxiety running on high, he decided to just stay in bed and hope no one would find him.
It was never too early to start spoiling people for the holidays, that was Qhuinn’s policy. As soon as she and Quinten had come back from New Orleans, she had gotten right to work at the bakery, baking so much that visions of sugar plums literally did dance in her head every friggin night. She loved it though, those last three months of the year being her absolute favorite. The wolf was in the basement passing out some little bundles to her friends, when the scent of illness hit her nose. Frowning softly, she followed her senses until she stopped at a cell that obviously housed a rather ill young man. Recognizing him as Theo, the friend of Alexis’s that she had met briefly, she was quick to set her box down and lightly rap on the door frame as she peeked inside. “Theo..are you okay? It’s Qhuinn, Alexis’s friend. Is there something I can do..” she asked worriedly.

Headcanon please?
He loves listening to the little sounds Theo makes when he sleeps and curls into max.

His spirits were high as he hums gently, fingers covered in dirt as he nestles a little fern into a new pot. He’d just started his new job at the florists a few days prior, and he was already so at ease in the place. The plants around him seemed to hum back at him, and he loved the fact that he wasn’t cooped up in the cells in the basement. The freshness of the air around him filled his lungs, and he was thankful that he had this small piece of solace on the island. A bell rings from the door, and he looks up from the counter where he’s repotting succulents, a small smile on his face. He’s alone in the shop right now, making the newcomer his responsibility. “Hi, um, is there anything I can help you with?” He asks, nerves hitting him a bit as he speaks.
It had taken her this long to come back to the shop. Abbi had been avoiding it, as being around Aspen’s house had been hard enough. And Dhani had been with her for that. This though, she felt like she had to do on her own. The Brit hesitated a little, peering through the windows for a bit and watching who she guessed was a new employee messing around inside. From the back, his dark hair made him look almost like Aspen.. Giving herself a shake and rolling her eyes at how ridiculous she was being, Abbi finally pushed open the door and stepped inside. And tried not to picture the Dryad around the plants, offering her a piece of cactus to feed Agave. Nope..no. She could do this. She was not one of those simpering girly girls.. “Hey” She gave the man a small smile, taking a few more steps into the shop. “Ah..not really sure just yet if I’m being honest”
