Q: What does Girls' Generation mean to you?
TIFFANY: I think Girls' Generation is a space where I can learn only good things. It's an honor and fate that may or may not come once in a lifetime.
My feelings about this answer:
Things exist and/or continue to exist because there is someone who cherishes it enough to make it happen. This cannot be forced or “arranged”. It has to come from the heart, so that it isn’t a chore or a pain to do. Once the heart has changed, it no longer carries the same value/purpose/meaning for the person and it no longer carries the same weight as before.
Priorities change in life, with time. And this is why, this decade of SNSD is so precious. Because, regardless of the length of time passed, the difficulties present, and the ups and downs, these 8 ladies have persevered and hung on and never let go.
Value is in the eye of the beholder. What is no longer wanted by someone, can be utterly cherished by another. It is a matter of perspective. So to have these 8 ladies cherish SNSD so much, to have these 8 ladies want SNSD for so many years and not have a change of heart, is truly precious.
I am touched by the commitment they have for SNSD. It spurs fans and people who love them to continue this journey with them, for many more years.
