I got Procreate back in June and I’ve been teaching myself digital art (with the help of many tutorials) for past four months. 
One of the things I most want to learn is drawing people and portraits. So as I’m studying anatomy and other fundamentals, I thought I would do at least one portrait a month to see my progress. 
I’m still very much learning and working on finding my own style. It feels terrifying to share something when you’re not where you want to be yet. But I also think that everyone feels that way and, when we step out in courage and faith, we support others to do the same.☺️💖

Marathon Training: Week 3

Tonight was a short night; 3 miles. It was a good run. I can already see and feel improvements to my fitness which are being reinforced by my pace. Add to that almost getting hit by some lovely driver and I had a GREAT night! I keep having thoughts of a 100 miler. I want it. I’m just not sure I want it badly enough...yet. The thoughts keep occurring. The feeling hasn’t subsided at all since I started feeling it last year. I think I might need to do something stupid soon. Any supporters of stupid decisions out there?

Growth... or Perfectionism?? I’ll be honest, there’s a lot here I struggle with. I’m goal oriented (not a bad thing), but have a habit of wanting it all NOW. I worry too much about people’s perceptions of me. I fall into the “let’s make it pretty for social media” trap too often. I let a difficult conversation slide by without happening in favor of not rocking the boat. Maybe realizing these things and saying them out loud IS part of my journey? Maybe it IS growth in some way? I know there are others out there who struggle with perfectionism and not living up to their own standards! Today, I commit to adopting (or trying to adopt- this is a process!) an attitude of “I’m glad I tried” versus “It’s all or nothing”. 👇🏻Your turn- you can do it!!
