He tilts his head, a gesture of mock curiosity. “Is there? I merely give it the weight it deserves. A name is a composition, you see. And yours. . .Whitney. . .has a rather delectable ring to it when played correctly.” Ever the charmer.

Lucifer resists an eyeroll. Why're they always so confused when they first arrive? Perhaps he should look into doing a welcome brochure. "It's Hell - You're in Hell -" To demonstrate he lets a spark of fire curl upwards from his palm, gesturing for her to look around.

Although - Now that he really looks at her, she doesn't seem like she belongs. Is she even dead?

"Hm -" Long legs bring him closer to her, leaning over to look into her eyes. "Interesting. You're not supposed to be here, are you? You've got the general aura of a soul that's due to go upwards." He points up. "What's the last thing you remember? And have you pissed anyone off lately?"

A nervous laugh left the Fathers lips, hands wringing idly under the oversized sleeves of the green chasuble.

"I feel as though I am the one meant to ask that question, but I do enjoy you switching it up. Keeps the day entertaining"

"O-kay, you sniffed me out. I have an agenda here." He mused in a dry tone. "Small island, it's not hard to spot a fresh new face around here. If there is anything you need, my doors are always open."

Eyes turning heaven bound Paul was met with a sight he never gave himself time to fully digest and appreciate. The stars strobbed and pulsed off colors that twisted and curled across the night sky. When God made the universe, he started with the sky, and it was clear to Paul that in this moment, it was a sight regular human eyes would never fully understand.

He understood it now...

Eddie stopped strumming his acoustic and looked at Whitney with a confused expression on his face. He didn't think he was doing anything. He was just playing his guitar as he usually did. His head fell to the side just slightly, brows furrowing in the middle as he tried to get into Whitney's head to figure out what the fuck she meant.

"Oh." He looked down at his hands, at his fingers over the strings. "OH!" He grinned. "You're a pervert."

This was the first time anything happened between Eddie and Whitney in the van. They'd fooled around before, but that sort of thing was reserved for the privacy and comfort of Eddie's bedroom in the trailer. They got carried away today. Fooling around in the school parking lot? They clearly had a death wish. What on Earth posssessed them to do that!? They were sober! Eddie was pulling up his pants when Whitney dropped that bomb of a question.

Pants on, still unzipped and unbuttoned, he dropped his butt back down to the backseat of the van. "What?" He heard her. He just wanted her to repeat herself, "Are you asking me out on a date?"

It was either that or, "Are you asking me to be your girlfriend?" Yes, he meant exactly what he said. Her asking him made him feel just a tiny bit emasculated.

It was comments like that one that confirmed to Eddie that he and Whitney were just friends. He wasn't sure if it was what she had said, or the way she had said it but it felt incredibly friendly. It wasn't bad. It was probably the best thing he could hear considering nearly half of Hawkins was terrified of Eddie Munson.

"Yeah, well as long as you can put up with the occasional snoring we can do this more often." He had his back turned to her as he slipped on one of the more baggy shirts he had in his closet. It felt weird to him to sleep with his shirt off with a girl that was a friend… and just a friend, even if she had seen him fully naked several times before. The Eddie logic was a tricky thing.

He turned back towards his bed, walking over and then crawling over Whitney because he preferred the side that was against the wall.
