now that the carnival was over and he had time to think of the aftermath of it, he realized he had been cruel to his younger brother under the spell. he wanted to apologize for it, to have a chance to know henrik again. the older original made his way to where henrik was and cleared his throat. “brother, can we talk?”

he was losing it, the further his bloodlust was given into the deeper things got. the original wasn’t even sure what was real and what wasn’t anymore. he saw his little brother standing there and tears began to spring in his eyes, only he didn’t really see the version of his brother now he was seeing the version that had been nearly mauled to death by wolves when they were all still human. it hadn’t been his fault but he still blamed himself, if he had been there maybe he could have done something. “go away.” he said, his voice gaining more anger and rage as his eyes darkened. “you’re not my brother, you’re not real.”

“not to be rude it’s just.. we were told you were dead?” elena asked, her brows furrowing as she looked at the youngest mikaelson. “did you come back to life with the rest of us?”
