In the DVD commentary for the Aaron and Dean pub scene, Edlund describes the way Jensen plays the scene as a “romantic comedy kind of fluster” and then says “which is very interesting for the character Dean, because it just sort of suggests this weird...this potential” to which director Phil Sgriccia follows up with “this potential to find love in all places.” And then Edlund jokes about Dean and Aaron settling down together :’)

OKAY SO. i’m sitting here trying to decide because i Think actually cas would generally be the one well-liked by the pta, like he’s definitely Invested in jack’s school and everything, but he’s also the mild-mannered volunteer in the library type (unless there was something that threatened jack or jack’s education and then he goes full mama bear). whereas dean would be the one making bitchy comments about julia’s brownies at the bake sale last year and cas would shush him because that’s rude, dean! the brownies were perfectly fine!
but also it would be VERY funny if that was reversed.
