Jared smoothed his hair back with his hands and pulled a ball cap on his head as he headed out the his truck. The so-called bachelor pad he'd found on quick notice when he'd made the spontaneous move down to Cali no longer felt adequate and since it looked like he'd be sticking around for a bit, he figured he'd better get on finding a more permanent type of home. He'd gotten a list of potential properties from Amber's real estate guy and wanted to go have a peek before making a decision and obviously, he'd need his wingman to do that.
He pulled up in front of Jensen's pad and laid on the horn. They hadn't had a chance for any real bro time since he got here, so it should make for a good day. He knew from the gossip pages that Jensen had plenty to fill him in on, but he had his own news to share as well. He glanced towards the house, seeing no sign of Jensen, so tapped the horn again "Worse than a woman" he grumbled. ( itsjensen-ackles)

She smiled at her screen, thrilled he'd agreed to her crazy idea and then sent her sister a quick text to have her come get Pistol for the weekend - poor Whitney. She hadn't had a chance to fill her in about all that had happened, but she promised to get her up to speed when she got back and then set the phone down on the kitchen counter. Initially, she'd been surprised at how well the conversation with Colin had gone but the aftermath had been something entirely different - partly evil glares from people (rightfully) sympathetic to her now ex, partly pats on the back from those who'd never really been supportive of their relationship. Neither of which was helpful.
Mostly though, she felt bad for Jensen - he hadn't asked for any of this and, as she saw it, they should be in that happy, celebrating, honeymoon sort of phase. Not trying to field invasive questions and finger-pointing - especially for something that was entirely her decision, not his. Hopefully some time away from all of that, just the two of them, would allow things to cool down and let them enjoy this time a bit more. She wasn't fussy about where they ended up - they could sleep in the car for all she cared - so she threw a couple pairs of jeans and some tanks and t-shirts into a bag, along with a toothbrush and some other toiletries and left it by the door, making sure Pistol had enough food and water to last until her sister arrived while she waited for him, eagerly checking the window every few minutes to see if his car was outside yet. itsjensen-ackles
