how long does it take you to make a post? Like making the poses, setting up the rooms, dressing the sims, etc
it depends reallyyyy. those last couple of zatty photosets where i spammed 15 posts took around two days on and off to complete.
my process is usually writing out a summary of whatever i’m doing so i know the type of poses i’ll need then i’ll start by gathering any objects and accessories for it. next i’ll go ahead and open blender to work on poses.
for that set i made 40 poses lmao. out of the 40 i used maybe 30. i like being thorough and for me that means not having weird transitions between one photoset and the next. lmao it always bugs me when someone goes “well that escalated quickly” so i’ve been trying to be mindful of it and show everything that’s important so there’s no room for confusion. like i purposely took 72826 photosets of Zatty in the laundromat for that reason.
after making the poses i’ll go in my 40x40 casland save and test each pose to make sure everything looks correct. that only takes about maybe 20 mins but then there’s always some type of clipping i have to fix especially with couples poses. after i fix them then i’ll open up my main save and dress everyone for their prom pictures ;P
posing and taking the pics doesn’t take too long maybe like 2-3 hrs if i’m taking breaks in between. i do get excessive and take 72727 of the same angle tho so it can be longer if i want it to look nice.
i’d say editing the pictures takes the most time out of anything because it’s such a tedious process of rinse and repeat. like after the sixth one i’m like please. i actually just looked and there were 37 pictures in total that i edited for that. smhhhhhh.
it’s also fun tho because i can see the photosets come together and make sense once i add in dialogue and what not. but yeah i don’t really just sit there for that long doing it. i take breaks to eat, i go to work, i sleep, or just naturally get side tracked.
it sounds like a lot but if i’m just bullshitting around making selfie poses or something minimal it legit takes like less than 2 hrs to do everything start to finish.
