I didn't want to post this where anyone knows me but just needed to vent. Yesterday I found out I have a tumour on my liver and my WCC keeps increasing so I now have to have a bone marrow to check for the big C word. Kind of numb but not worried yet. I never wanted to live past 30 but now I don't think I'm ready to die. This will teach me not to have regular dr appointments 😔

A very scientific diagram of Poe's butt tumor (soft tissue sarcoma). I have been distraught since her tumor (initially removed in Jan 2021) came back and was removed again in October. And both times its occurrence was fortunately found by @d.j._s Chemo and radiation were being recommended and there was no way I could afford $10,000 for radiation and have to stay for weeks at a time in California or Salt Lake. But thankfully we were able to see specialty surgeons and oncologists at MedVet Salt Lake City. After her examination today there's no sign of the tumor. There's a 30% chance of it growing back and that chance decreases over time. It's very unlikely it will metastasize to any organs. The plan is to wait and if it grows back then do a CT scan, possibly surgery or low dose oral chemo. Poe will be thrilled to go a few months at least without another vet visit. I highly recommend MedVet for their excellent specialists. And they are actually less expensive than many other veterinarians. The team at Leprechaun Lane Training Center couldn't be more proud of @runleefair for finishing as an Area III top ten rider in 2019 - tied for 8th - her first year at recognized Eventing, and with a new horse who is a bit quirky and extremely pretentious! Leprechaun Lane's Eventing Team and all of us at Leprechaun Lane Training Center are more than impressed with your 8th place finish. You are a superstar and we are so excited for 2020 and the AECs!!! Congratulations Lee, your hard work has paid off! We did it with an amazing support crew and team. I am so very grateful for everyone who has encouraged us, helped us, and given our horses the love and care they need tho be happy, healthy, and successful!! The "nay-sayers" may have given us some grief, but the positivity, classical training methods, patience, and care made 2019 a very successful year for a horse that everyone thought was a lost cause and an individual who had more on her plate than most full families. Well done. I admire you and I am looking forward to many more years of fun and success.
